Must Bet Weekend 2016 MLB Series

Written by on July 29, 2016

There are, as always, a ton of games on tap in the MLB this weekend, and while it would be great to bet on them all, it’s probably not the best option financially. That means picking out a few series that really jump off the page. Personally, I like to bet on the series that I most want to watch, and there are a few of those available this weekend. This is the last chance for teams to see how things are looking before the trade deadline rolls around, which only adds to the excitement of what should already be a fun weekend. Let’s take a look at a few series that you should be looking at this weekend. Remember, you can keep up to date with all the live odds at MyBookie.ag.

Analyzing The Must Bet Weekend 2016 MLB Series

Seattle Mariners at Chicago Cubs – July 29-31

We all love a good interleague series match-up, and they don’t come much better than this. The Chicago Cubs are the team setting the tone in the NL, while the Seattle Mariners are still very much in the Wild Card race in the AL. The Cubs have made a solid start to the second half, and have yet to lose a series in that time. The Mariners are 6-4 in their last 10 games, and are looking to put together a winning streak that would keep them relevant in the Wild Card race.

Baltimore Orioles at Toronto Blue Jays – July 29-31

The battle for supremacy in the AL East takes center stage this weekend, as the division leading Orioles head into Toronto to face a Blue Jays team that has cut the gap at the top to just a game and a half. It was the second half of last season where the Toronto Blue Jays put things together and went on a run that saw them make it into the postseason. The Orioles are slipping at the moment, but a solid showing on the road may be just what they need to get back on track.

Washington Nationals at San Francisco Giants – July 28-31

This is a great looking 4-game series that has already seen the Nationals win the opener. Both of these teams are trying to maintain their lead in their respective divisions, and it has to be said that the Nationals are doing a better job of that right now. They have a 5-game lead over the Marlins in the East, while the Giants have seen their lead cut to just 2 games over in the West. This has all the makings of a great series, and has to be considered a must watch. Those are just three of the series that jump off the page this weekend, but there are many more besides. We all have different criteria for what we love to see in a match-up, so use yours o pick the series that you want to focus on.
