When the weekend action in the MLB is over, we will officially see the first half of the season come to a close. Some players will get a break, while others will be involved in the All-Star festivities, but every GM in the league will be busy making decisions about what to do with their current squad of players. There are going to be a ton of moves made at the trade deadline and for their MLB odds, all of which will shape how the second half plays out. It’s tough to make any sort of predictions until those moves are all made, but with the odds or the pennants and the World Series recently updated, we can at least take some educated guesses as to how things might play out. Let’s dig a little deeper into each conference, taking a look at the current baseball betting odds, and making some predictions along the way.
Analyzing The MLB Odds to win the 2017 World Series Predictions for AL & NL
American League MLB Odds Predictions
The Houston Astros are not just the best team in the AL right now, they are also the best team in baseball. They are listed at +160 to win the pennant, and +300 to win the World Series, both of which are more than fair odds. This is a team that does not look to have any noticeable weaknesses, and who are killing it away from home, having only lost 9 games on the road through the first half.Coming in right behind the Astros are the Boston Red Sox (+200 pennant, +400 World Series), and for good reason. They were a little slow off the mark at the start of the season, but they are putting it all together now, and have built up a 4-game lead in the AL East. This division looks like theirs to lose, as none of the other teams are currently making a consistent push for the top.The Cleveland Indians (+300 pennant, +580 World Series) are also worth a look in the AL, as they appear to be getting over a slow start to the year. They have regained control of the Central Division, and should be more than good enough to not only hold on for the win, but to also perhaps open things up in the second half. The Houston Astros look like a very solid bet in the AL, but I would also keep an eye on the Kansas City Royals (+1400 pennant, +2800 World Series), as they are slowly but surely starting to edge their way back into contention.
