As the Major League Baseball season chugs along, the separation between the teams at the top and bottom of the MLB will become more apparent by the day. Having a pitching staff that has the depth to work through an entire season is a challenge every MLB team must face.

Not much has gone right for the Royals this season. Singer hasn’t been able to do much to help the cause. Singer is 2-3 this season with an 8.49 ERA but has had his fair share of problems for the last-place Royals.

In four of the six starts Singer has made this season, he has allowed five or more earned runs. In Singer’s last start, an 8-4 Kansas City loss to Minnesota on April 30, he only lasted 2.2 innings and struck out five batters. Singer has been tagged with six home runs in 29.2 innings of work this season.

Ken Waldichuk | Oakland A’s | Left-hander

Waldichuk has been tagged over and over again by the opponents’ power hitters. He has allowed an MLB-high 10 home runs to his opponents. Wadlichuk has a 7.26 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 31 innings of work. Oakland is a sinking ship, and the A’s will have a hard time providing Waldichuk with consistent run support or defense.

Hill has allowed six or more hits in four of his past five games. He has also allowed seven home runs and has an inconsistent Pittsburgh defense behind him. Hill will still have his moments from time to time; he will just see time to continue to catch up with him.

Jose Urena | Colorado Rockies | Right-hander

The Rockies have lost in all five of the games Urena has started this season.

Urena doesn’t have it easy. Pitching at Coors Field at home will infield his numbers more than at a regular ballpark. However, the Rockies have lost all five of his starts this season, and he’s had a hard time staying in games. With Colorado’s struggles as a team, it’s hard to see Urena making Colorado competitive in too many games this season.
