Targeting the Best MLB Future Bets & Picks of the 2018 Season

Written by on March 2, 2018

Spring training is well underway now, and we are just about a month away from the start of the 2018 season. Teams have made their offseason moves, allowing us to have an idea of which teams might improve and which may fall off the pace they set last year to begin targeting the Best MLB Future Bets & Picks. Of course, there are going to be some who underachieve, while others end up being a surprise, which is something that we see every single season. We will be covering the MLB Betting action in a big way this year, but we thought it might be fun to look at some potential wagers you can make right now. With that in mind, let’s take a shot at predicting all the division winners this season.

Targeting the Best MLB Future Bets & Picks of the 2018 Season

American League

East

I think we are looking at a 2-horse race between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees here, which isn’t really much of a surprise. The Yankees were a bit of a surprise package last season, fueled by the success of rookie Aaron Judge. The addition of Giancarlo Stanton will make them an offensive powerhouse, which should take them to the top of the division, albeit only just.

Central

This division seems to be one of the easiest to predict, as it’s tough to see anyone knocking off the Cleveland Indians. They won it comfortably last season and will be looking to make amends for an awful postseason display. Indians all the way here, and perhaps look at them crossing the 100-win mark, too.

West

The team to beat here is rather obvious, as the West Division is home to the defending champion Houston Astros. They are a young team that looked primed for an extended run at the top, but we also said that about the Cubs after their World Series win. Another championship is not guaranteed, but a division winner should be. For Wild Card picks, let’s go with the Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners.

National League

East

The NL East looks to be one of the weakest in all of baseball, with the Washington Nationals being the only team in there that we can really consider being elite. This race could be over by the midway point of the season, and it really is only a matter of what the winning margin will be.

Central

The Chicago Cubs took a step backward last season and were pushed all the way by the surprising Milwaukee Brewers. The Cardinals should be in the mix this season and the Brewers will likely take another step forward. The Brewers are dominating the MLB Future Bets at the Central Division of the National League. That said, they are both still going to be chasing a Chicago Cubs team minus a World Series hangover. Cubs to win the division.

West

We can only hope that this division is as entertaining as it was last year, with the Dodgers, Diamondbacks, and the Rockies all making the postseason. I think the Rockies will fall off a bit this year, leaving the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks to battle for division supremacy. I have a good feeling about Arizona but think they will come up short against the Dodgers. As for the Wild Card in the NL, I think it’s fair to suggest that Arizona can be considered a bit of a lock, with the Milwaukee Brewers my pick to join them.
