Monday – ATL – Huascar Ynoa vs LAD – Clayton Kershaw

So far, so good for Clayton Kershaw. After 7 innings versus the Minnesota Twins last week, the Dodgers’ listed starter is 1-0 with 13 strikeouts.

He didn’t give up a hit. So Clayton’s ERA is also 0.00. So is his WHIP.

As opposed to Kershaw, Huascar Ynoa had a terrible time in his first foray to the mound. Ynoa lasted 3 innings and gave up 5 earned runs off 7 hits to the Washington Nationals in a loss.

Heading into this, Huascar’s ERA is 15.00. His WHIP is 3.00. Based on those stats, the Dodgers have this in the bag. But it’s difficult seeing Kershaw producing a similar performance.

Not only that, but Ynoa isn’t as bad as he showed in his first outing. Expect Huascar to bounce back, which means the ATL is a solid moneyline choice.

Tuesday – ATL – Max Fried vs LAD – Walker Buehler

Fried versus Buehler is a battle between two aces with a shot to win the 2022 NL Cy Young. Fried has yet to find his best stuff.

The ATL’s top starter in the rotation, is 0-2 after a couple of games. His ERA is at 5.73 and his WHIP is 1.45. Not only that, but the Dodgers bat .278 versus Fried.

Buehler is 1-0, but he hasn’t thrown his best. Walker has a 3.38 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP. Both are much higher than they were last season.

Still, the Dodgers’ ace allows Atlanta to hit .186 against him and that was when Freddie Freeman and Ronald Acuna Jr. batted for the ATL. Freeman is a Dodger and Acuna Jr. is sidelined.

The Dodgers and Buehler win this for sure. If you’re searching for better odds than what you find on the moneyline, the run line should be playable.

Wednesday – ATL – Charlie Morton vs. LAD – Tony Goselin

After a couple of starts, Charlie Morton is 1-1 with a 6.10 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP. Morton has struck out 10 batters. So not everything suggests he blows this start on Wednesday.

Morton has had great success versus Los Angeles. The Dodgers bat .187 against him. Former teammate Freddie Freeman, though, has 6 hits from 12 at bats versus Morton.

Tony Goselin is a converted reliever, which means there’s a chance Atlanta and their starter go off at underlay odds. Goselin, especially throwing at home, is good enough to contain the Braves’ lineup.

This should be an interesting game for sure. Lean towards the Dodgers with the expectation they offer slightly overlay odds because Goselin isn’t an every day starter.
