Top MLB Series to Bet On the Weekend: Giants v Dodgers, Yankees v Orioles, and More

The 2022 MLB season is starting to heat up now that the second half of the season is starting up. Even though it’s getting much easier to handicap games and matchups, betting on baseball is still a tough task.

There are certain matchups that are easier to predict than others, especially coming out of the break. Here are four MLB series that are worth betting in the first weekend after the All Star Break. Let’s get right to it so you can continue making your bets against the MLB Lines

Top MLB Series Worth Betting this Weekend (July 23rd – 24th)

Chicago Cubs at Philadelphia Phillies

The Chicago Cubs begin the second half of the season in Philadelphia for a matchup with the Phillies. Chicago had a tough end to the first half of the season, and it’s hard to imagine the second half going any better.

The Cubs have a mess on their hands in the starting rotation, and the offense has been extremely inconsistent. Philadelphia will have their pitching lined up this weekend as well, and it should be a great weekend for the Phillies

Betting on the Phillies to win this series is the way to go as they are winning at least two of the three games.

New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles

AL East rivals meet up in Baltimore to begin the second half of the year, and this matchup is actually going to be more competitive than the records suggest. Baltimore has been on a big run since June, but facing the Yankees is not going to be an easy task.

The Yankees have the most dominant lineup in baseball and they can put up some huge numbers on any given night. New York will also have Gerrit Cole pitching in one game, and he always seems to dominante.

As good as the Orioles have been this season, it’s just hard to pick them winning games against the Yankees. Take New York to go on the road and win two of three games against Baltimore.

Miami Marlins at Pittsburgh Pirates

One of the most interesting matchups this weekend will be a series between the Miami Marlins and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Miami has underachieved so far in 2022, while Pittsburgh has been a bit better than average.

The Marlins have a starting rotation that is loaded with talent, and that group has been setting the tone for the entire season. Pittsburgh has some talented young hitters in the lineup, but they just continue to lack consistency.

This will be a nice matchup all weekend long, but it will be the Marlins that win the series.

San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers

The Giants and Dodgers are one of the best rivalries in all of sports, and they begin the second half in Los Angeles. San Francisco won the NL West a season ago, but this year it has all been about the Dodgers.

Even though the Dodgers had a pair of pitchers appear in the All Star Game, this team has a loaded rotation and plenty of pitching. San Francisco just hasn’t been consistent enough to bet on, and that should remain the case this weekend.

Take the Dodgers to win the series against the Giants.
