2022 MLB World Series Odds Update After 9 Weeks of Regular Season Action

2022 MLB World Series Odds Update After 9 Weeks of Regular Season Action

As we’re almost a third of the way through the baseball season, we’re starting to see which teams will be World Series contenders, and which ones will look to be sellers at the trade deadline. The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers look like the two best teams in the game at this point. It’s a long season, and injuries can happen, so we won’t crown the Dodgers and Yankees just yet.

Let’s take a look at the MLB World Series Betting favorites to win the World Series at this point in the season.

Who is the Favorite to Win It All? | MLB World Series Betting Analysis

Los Angeles Dodgers +400

Now that Max Muncy’s bat has come to life, the Dodgers look even better. Clayton Kershaw is back off of the IL, but now the Dodgers have to worry about Walker Buehler’s injury. The way their lineup is constructed, they should be fine. The pitching staff is a little bit of a concern, but with a loaded farm system, the Dodgers will be able to go out and get the help that they need at the trade deadline.

New York Yankees +500

The Yankees have the best record in baseball, and they don’t look to be slowing down any time soon. If the season ended today, Aaron Judge would more than likely be the American League MVP. Giancarlo Stanton has been very good, and the Yankees lineup has been scoring a ton of runs.

The pitching staff has been phenomenal. Nestor Cortes has been the surprise of the American League, and he along with Gerrit Cole, Jameson Taillon, and Luis Severino make up one of the best pitching staffs in the game. The Yankees bullpen is also very strong.

Houston Astros +700

After a slow start to the season, the Houston Astros have come on strong. They have one of the best records in the game, and they look like a legitimate World Series contender. While the Astros have a very good lineup, they’re being carried by their pitching staff. Justin Verlander looks like the Verlander of old, and the rest of the starting staff has been very good as well. The bullpen has also been very strong.

Once their bats really get going, which all signs point to that happening soon, the Astros will be that much better.

New York Mets +700

Pete Alonso has sparked the Mets lineup, and the leader in the NL East looks like a top-tier team. Steve Cohen spent a lot of money in the offseason, and his spending has paid off. Even though Max Scherzer and Tyler Megill have missed some time, the starting rotation has still looked good. And now, it sounds like Jacob deGrom is nearing a comeback.

Atlanta Braves +1500

Don’t look now, but here come the Atlanta Braves. Atlanta struggled early in the season, but an 11-game winning streak has brought the Braves back to life. They’re now just five games behind the Mets in the NL East. Ronald Acuna, Jr. has been on fire, and the rest of the lineup has been hitting the ball well. If the Braves continue to stay hot, the New York Mets better watch out.
