BRAVE CF 49: Super Fights Expert Analysis – MMA Betting

Written by on March 24, 2021

If you don’t mind getting up a little earlier than usual in the morning, then there is a big MMA event that you can take in at 8:30 AM on Thursday morning. Brave CF 49 will be held in Bahrain and is home to a massive main card. There are 11 fights scheduled for that card, although the first handful are fights between guys just getting started with their pro careers. With that in mind, we are going to skip ahead and focus on the final 6 fights on the main card, delivering some predictions for each of them. Let’s get right to the action so you can bet against their MMA odds.

MMA Betting Preview for BRAVE CF 49

Bernardo Sopai Vs Francesco Nuzzi

Two fighters with the exact same record come into this one looking to avoid the second loss of their careers. Sopai took his first loss back in 2018, but he has since bounced back with 2 wins in a row to get to 8-1. As mentioned, Nuzzi has the same record, but you need to go all the way back to 2016 to find the last time he lost a pro fight. A very evenly matched fight here, but I have Sopai by decision.

Geraldo Coelho Vs Gadzhimusa Gadzhiev

It’s a Welterweight bout that we have next, with both fighters in this one looking to snap out of a poor run of recent form. Coelho is 12-5 in his career, but 3 of those losses have come in his last 5 fights, including in each of his last 2. Gadzhiev is at 9-6 and has had the exact same record as his opponent over the last 5 fights. Both of these fighters need a win to get back on track and I am on Gadzhiev to get the KO victory.

Chad Hanekom Vs Dominic Schnober

This Middleweight bout is another one that features a pair of fighters in dire need of a win to get their groove back. Hanekom is 6-2, but both of his losses have come over the course of his last 5 fights, including a defeat his last time out. That’s better than Schnober, who is on a 3-fight losing skid and who has lost 4 of his last 5. I think it will be Hanekom who breaks out of the slump with a submission win.

Muhammad Mokiev Vs Abdul Hussein

Next up is a Bantamweight bout between a pair of fighters making a mark in the early part of their careers. Mokiev is still just 20 years old, but he has already put together 4 wins as a pro, winning each of the last 3 inside the distance. Hussein has also made a positive start to his pro career, going 7-1 through his first 8 fights. This should be a good one, but I am on Mokiev for the win.

Jose Torres Vs Blaine O’Driscoll

The co-main event of the night is a Flyweight bout between a pair of very good fighters. While Torres progress has not totally stalled, he is just 1-1-1 in his last 3 fights and could use a win to get back on track and improve his 9-1-1 record. After losing in late 2019, O’Driscoll has bounced back to win his last 2 outings, but this is certainly another tough one. I am leaning towards Torres by decision.

Luan Santiago Vs Benoit Saint-Denis

The headline event of the night is a Welterweight bout that has all the makings of a beauty. Santiago comes into this fight with a 15-4 record, although he has dropped 2 of his last 5, so he needs to pick things up here. Saint-Denis is the man to beat here, as he has looked very good through his first 6 pro fights, coming out on top in all of them. I think he keeps the unbeaten streak going with a KO win.
