Which driver among Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski, and Erik Jones has the best chance of winning the 2019 Big Machine Vodka 400?

None of the favorites are particularly motivated to win since all have qualified for the NASCAR Playoffs. Kyle Busch, especially, might be a play against. In this race last year, Busch finished an okay eighth. He didn’t push too much because he wanted to save something for the playoffs.

Busch figures to do the same thing this year. Harvick, who finished fourth last year, might take it easy on Sunday as well. Kevin has no reason to really go for it.

Martin Truex Jr. should have a much better Brickyard 400 in 2019 than he did in 2018 when finishing fortieth. But, Martin’s a play against among the favorites. The drivers to really back are either Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski, or Erik Jones.

Jones won at Darlington last Sunday. Erik also finished second in this race last year. Keselowski won this race in 2018 while Hamlin finished third. Anyone of the three could take the checkered flag on Sep. 8.

Is there a driver between +1000 and +2200 odds that can win the 2019 Big Machine Vodka 400?

Kurt Busch finished sixth at the Brickyard 400 last year. He finished seventh at Darlington last weekend. Busch is eighth in the NASCAR Playoff Standings. He’ll race in the playoffs, but he might be motivated to take a checkered flag because he only has a single win this year. Expect Kyle’s older brother to race very well on Sunday.

What longshot driver with odds of at least +4000 can take the checkered flag on September 8?

Ryan Newman is right on the NASCAR Playoffs cut-off. He must put in a great race to have any shot of getting into the field. Newman finished tenth at the 2018 Big Machine Vodka 400. He finished twenty-third at Darlington last week.

There’s certainly a question of whether Newman can race well enough to even have a say on Sep. 8. However, he should be the most motivated driver at The Brickyard on Sunday. If things go his way, he could pull off the unimaginable upset at +8000.
