Rather than seeing all the NASCAR drivers in one place this weekend, we are seeing them split across two different venues. The weekend begins in Knoxville, Ohio, with the Truck Series drivers taking to the dirt on Friday night. Over the weekend, we will see the Xfinity Series and Cup Series drivers battle it out at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. For the purposes of this piece, we are going to be looking at the Quaker State 400 and the race for playoff spots in the Cup Series. We are reaching critical mass now, as there are just 6 races to go before the top 16 drivers head into the playoffs. Who will help their cause this weekend? Kyle Larson (+200)

Given how things have gone to this point, seeing Larson in as the race favorite might well become something of a common theme the rest of the way. Larson is at the top of the driver standings after winning 4 in a row, which included a victory at the All-Star Race. While he has since gone 3 in a row without picking up a win, he does have a 2^nd place finish and a top 10 in that mix, so he is certainly not that far off the pace. Larson has been critical of the proposed changes to the Atlanta track, which will go into place for next season, but he had a good run in the ATL earlier this season, finishing 2^nd in that one.

Kyle Busch (+700)

After winning it all in 2019, you have to say that Kyle Busch had himself a bit of an off year in 2020, finishing down in 8^th overall. He did not get off to the best start this season, but there are definite signs that the former champ is beginning to round into form. He now has 2 wins on the season and has been in the top 5 in 5 of his last 6 races. You would certainly like him to keep that streak going in Atlanta given that he has not finished worse than 7^th in his last 4 races on that track.

Chase Elliott (+700)

Anyone who thought about writing off the defending champion after another disappointing couple of runs may yet want to rethink their stance. Nashville and a doubleheader at Pocono were races that Elliott might just as soon want to forget, but he was able to put those aside and come away with the win last weekend. He now has 2 wins on the season and is sitting in the top 5 in the driver standings as we come down the homestretch in the regular season. He has not been at his best at Atlanta, but he has finished in the top 10 in 4 of 6 career races at that track.

Denny Hamlin (+800)

After spending the majority of the season in the top spot in the driver standings, Hamlin has now slid down to 4^th. The main reason for his backwards step is that he is still looking for his first win of the season, which is all the more concerning when you consider that he had 7 wins last season. Still, he is very much in the hunt and could be a danger of he gets hot. He ran 4^th in Atlanta earlier this season.
