Harrison Burton

Gifted 19-year-old North Carolina native Harrison Burton is seventh in the Xfinity standings with 10 Top-10 finishes in 13 starts. Burton has recorded seven Top-5 finishes while winning at California in February and Miami in mid-June 13. Burton has a pair of identical 32nd place finishes and a 25th place finish in his last three races, but I’m expecting this gifted young driver to challenge for the outright win.

Ross Chastain

27-year-old Floridian Ross Chastain is currently in third place in the Xfinity standings with a series-best, 11 Top-10 finishes and four, Top-5 finishes. While Chastain has yet to find his way into the winner’s circle this year, he’s also riding a stupendous six-race streak of Top-10 finishes, while recording a quartet of Top six finishes in his last four races. Simply put, I’m expecting Chastain to have a great shot at taking the checkered flag in this event.

Justin Allgaier

34-year-old Illinois native Justin Allgaier is sitting in sixth place in the Xfinity standings with six Top-10 finishes and a pair of Top-5 finishes. Still in search of his first win this year, Allgaier finished sixth at Pocono Raceway two weeks ago before finishing seventh in last weekend’s race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Allgaier is offering some great value as I expect him to challenge for the outright win.

Chase Briscoe

The Xfinity standings leader and prohibitive favorite to win Thursday’s Shady Rays 200, 25-year-old Indiana native Chase Briscoe has recorded a stellar 10, Top-10 finishes, seven Top-5 finishes and a series-best five victories. Briscoe has won two consecutive races while taking the checkered flag in three of the last four races overall, including last weekend’s  thrilling finish at Indianapolis. Briscoe has six Top-10 finishes in his last seven races and will have a great shot to make it three straight!

Kyle Busch

Superstar NASCAR Cup series driver Kyle Busch will be in the field for this event and looking for his second Xfinity win of the year after taking the checkered flag in Charlotte in May. Busch won the pole for this event and will lead the pack to start this event. The 35-year-old Las Vegas native has experienced plenty of success on the Xfinity circuit, having won the 2009 Xfinity championship while recording the most wins ever in the Xfinity series (97). Make no mistake about it, the reigning NASCAR Cup champion looks like a lock to finish in the top three and that makes Busch my favorite to win the 2020 Alsco 300 in Kentucky!
