NASCAR is about as fast paced a sport as you can get, but it seems even faster these days, as they are now trying to play catchup for the time lost during the COVID-19 lockdown. That means running a couple of races per week instead of the weekly Sunday races that we have become used to over the years. It seems as though we just got finished with the weekend race in Atlanta, but now we need to start talking about the next race up at Martinsville, which will be the Wednesday night running of the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500. The race is set to go at 7 PM on Wednesday night and you can catch all of the action on FS1. Right now, let’s take a look at some of the favorites to win this race along with their NASCAR odds.

NASCAR Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500

Brad Keselowski

It has been a great start to the season for Keselowski, who currently has a pair of wins under his belt. Overall, he has finished in the top 10 in 7 of the 10 races that have been run this season, which includes breaking into the top 5 in 4 of those races. The reason why he has to be considered the favorite here, though, is because this is a race that he seems to love. Keselowski has won the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 twice in the last 3 years, including taking the checkered flag last season. He has landed in the top 10 in 12 of his last 16 runs at Martinsville.

Kevin Harvick

Harvick is another driver who is off to a fast start and who seems to be thriving in this busy schedule. Harvick is coming into this race off a win at Atlanta, his second of this young season, and is sitting atop the driver standings after 10 races. He is on a run where he has landed in the top 10 in his last 5 races at Martinsville, but the knock against him here may be that you need to go back to 2011 to find the last time he took the checkered flag at this track. Harvick is a good bet to be in the top 10, but finishing first might be a bit of a stretch.

Joey Logano

You may have noticed that we are following a bit of a theme with our favorites here, which is that we are looking at drivers who have multiple wins this season. Logano has a pair of wins already and has landed in the top 10 in half of the races that he has run this season. He only has one career win at Martinsville, but it did come recently, as he won there in 2018. He ran in the top 10 last season, finishing 8th in his last run on this track. Given how well he has started the year, you have to consider him among the favorites.

Denny Hamlin

Hamlin is the final of the four drivers who have won multiple races this season, but despite the fact that he has done that and finished in the top 10 in 6 of 10 races thus far, he still only finds himself in 6th in the driver standings. It is a single stage win that is preventing him from having a higher standing. Since 2008, Hamlin has won this race no less than 3 different times. He has also been in the top 5 in his last 3 races at Martinsville, so a very good bet here. Hamlin is my pick to win.
