NASCAR 2022 Crayon 200 Odds Favorites, Betting Analysis and Picks

While each series under the NASCAR banner essentially operates their seasons the exact same way, there are some differences in the number of races run in the season and the number of drivers who make the playoffs.  In the Xfinity Series, it is the top 12 drivers at the end of the regular season who will then go on and challenge for the championship. With 9 races before we get to that cut, there are some drivers who look like an absolute certainty to be in the top 12, but there are some at the cut line and below who have some work to do. That work continues this coming Saturday in New Hampshire with the Crayon 200. There are valuable points up for grabs, but which drivers could be in the running for this win? Let’s take a look and see so you can bet against the NASCAR Xfinity Series Odds.

NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for Crayon 200 Race

Ty Gibbs

It looked for a moment as though Gibbs was back on track after winning at Road America a couple of weeks ago, but he followed that up with a very poor showing in Atlanta this past weekend. That has basically been the story of his season, with good runs of form followed by a clunker or two, but he has still done more than enough to be up among the leaders at this stage of the season. Gibbs has 4 wins under his belt this season, which is the most of any driver in the Xfinity Series, so we shouldn’t be too worried about a bad run here and there. He did not race in New Hampshire last season, so tough to know what to expect.

AJ Allmendinger

After a lengthy career in the Cup Series, Allmendinger made the switch to the Xfinity Series last season and came close to winning it all. He made it to the final four in the playoffs but came up short in the final race of the year. With 2 wins on the season, he is at the same total as he was last year, so every reason to suggest that Allmendinger is in the championship race for the long haul. He is coming off back-to-back top 10 finishes in the past couple of races but will still feel that he can do better. Last season in New Hampshire, Allmendinger ran 12th.

Justin Allgaier

It’s familiar territory for Allgaier, who is top 3 in the driver standings, which is essentially where he has been over the last 11 seasons. If there is a knock on Allgaier, it is that he has not been able to turn a stunning level of consistency into championships. You do, though, get the sense that he is long overdue an Xfinity Series title, but will it come this year? He has a pair of wins in 2022 and is heading to a track where he finished 2nd last season, so I might be tempted to wager on him here.

Noah Gragson

It has been a good season for Gragson to this point, but he was dealt a bit of a blow last week. He was fined $35,000 and deducted 30 points for his part in a crash in an earlier race this season. While the fine will sting, the points deduction has not made a huge impact on the standings, with Gragson sitting in 4th and still well within reach of the leader. He has landed in the top 10 in 4 of his last 5 races, so expect him to be in the mix on Saturday.
