We have a little bit of a strange turn of events coming in NASCAR this weekend. With the Cup Series and the Truck Series will be in Illinois to race at Gateway, the Xfinity Series will be running the Pacific Office Automation 147 in Portland, Oregon. It is this race that we are going to focus on for the purposes of this piece. We have officially reached the midway point of the season, with 13 races done and 13 more still to come. The battle for playoff spots will now really begin to heat up, as we have a very good race going on for those top 12 spots. Let’s take a closer look at the NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting favorites to win the Pacific Office Automation 147 this coming Saturday.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for Pacific Office Automation 147 Race
AJ Allmendinger (+200)
When we try to break down a race, we often look at the past performances of each driver on a specific driver. That is not going to be possible to do here, as this is the first stop in Portland for the Xfinity Series. Instead, we are going to look at how drivers have performed during the first half of the season, with Allmendinger the man leading the pack after the first 13 races. Allmendinger has been the model of consistency, landing in the top 10 in 12 straight races before having a bit of an off week last time out. During that hot run, he had 1 win and 4 other occasions where he landed on the podium.
Ty Gibbs (+350)
No driver made a better start to the season than Gibbs, who picked up 3 wins in the opening 7 races of the year. He has cooled off a little bit since then, but he did get back to form with a 2nd place finish in Charlotte the last time out. In the grand scheme of things, it is an excellent first half of the season for Gibbs, who is racing in the Xfinity Series on a full-time basis for the first time. Whether he can maintain this pace all the way to the end remains to be seen, but he is a worthy favorite in this one.
Noah Gragson (+500)
This is the 4th full season in the Xfinity Series for Gragson, who has improved his overall finish with each passing year. If he follows that trajectory, it would not be surprising to see him end the season as the champion. He is currently sitting 2nd overall and has already delivered 2 wins on the season. It’s not just the wins that are impressive, though, as he has been in the top 5 in 9 of the 13 races run this season. That’s a level of consistency that makes Gragson a threat in every race.
Justin Allgaier (+700)
It is possible to be one of the best drivers in the sport without ever winning a championship. Allgaier is a driver that needs to be in that conversation, as he has never finished worse than 7th overall in the final Xfinity Series standings over the last 10 years. He is in the mix again this season, but he will this be the year when he finally breaks through and wins it all. He has been in good form of late, landing in the top 10 in 4 in a row, which included a win.
