We are now 3 weeks into the NASCAR season and the standings in each of the series are beginning to take shape. That said, we are still very early in the season, but it is still fun to see which drivers come out hot and make a statement in the early going. One thing that we have yet to see across the board is a multiple winner, so might that be something we see this weekend when NASCAR rolls into Phoenix. We will talk about the rest of the schedule in a separate piece, but for now, we are going to focus on the Xfinity Series and the United Rentals 200. This race goes on Saturday afternoon, so let’s take a look at some of the potential NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting favorites.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for United Rentals 200 Race
Noah Gragson +400
Gragson has finished in the top 5 in the driver standings in each of the last 2 seasons, and while he is yet to win this year, he is off to a start that suggests he is going to be in the championship hunt once again. Gragson has posted a pair of 2nd place finished and a 3rd through the opening 3 weeks of the season, all of which has him sitting on top of the driver standings. While Gragson has not picked up a win at Phoenix is his time with the Xfinity Series, he does have some podium finishes in the mix.
Ty Gibbs +400
Gibbs may be just 19 years old, but he is considered one of the favorites to win the Xfinity Series this season. It has been a bit of a slow start for the young man, but he finally got his season rolling last weekend with a win in Las Vegas. There is reason to believe that he could well be among the leaders in this race, as he finished 2nd in his lone run at Phoenix last season. I am looking at Gibbs as the likely winner on Saturday.
AJ Allmendinger +800
In his first full season as a member of the Xfinity Series, Allmendinger made a serious run at winning it all, finishing 4th overall. His worse performance of the playoffs came in the final race of the season in Phoenix when he finished 14th, but he did manage to finish 5th in the earlier race in Phoenix in 2021. It has been a solid start to the season for the veteran, who has landed in the top 10 in all 3 races this season, including a 2nd place finish in Daytona in the opening weekend of the season.
Justin Allgaier +400
Allgaier is a drive that is long overdue for a championship, as he has been perhaps the most consistent performer in the Xfinity Series for a lot of years. Since 2009, he has never been worse than 7th overall, but he has yet to end the season as champion. He is off to another solid start, and while he has yet to pick up a win this season, he has been top 10 in all 3 races. He won at Phoenix back in 2017 and was in the top 10 in both races there last year.
