It’s another big NACAR weekend on the horizon, with the drivers heading to Kansas for what should be some exciting racing. We’ve got the entire weekend covered, but for the purposes of this piece, we are focusing on the Wise Power 200, which is set to go on Saturday night at 7:30 PM EST. There is a tight battle going on at the top of the Truck Series driver standings after the opening 6 races of the season, so points are a must for those drivers shooting for the top spot. Let’s take a look at the current top 4 and how they might get on this coming Saturday night so you can get all set to place your bets against their NASCAR Truck Series odds.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series: Wise Power 200 Betting Preview
John H. Nemechek +450
After bouncing around different series, Nemechek has decided to turn his attention to the Truck Series this season, which is now looking to be an outstanding decision. Through the first 6 races, he has already picked up a pair of wins, including taking the checkered flag last time out. He has 2 other podium finishes on top of that, so it is certainly no surprise to see him sitting atop the driver standings. He has not had a ton of experience on the Kansas track in the Truck Series, but he did finish third there back in 2017, but is that enough to go on to pick him as the winner this weekend?
Ben Rhodes +1400
No one came out of the starting gate faster than Ben Rhodes, as he stormed to victory in the opening two races of the season. Since then, he has picked up another podium finishes, as well as a pair of top 10 runs, which has him sitting right on the shoulder of Nemechek at the top of the standings. We all know that 2020 was a strange season, which was why there were 3 races at Kansas last year. Rhodes landed in the top 10 in 2 of those 3 races, and while that is a decent showing, you do have to wonder if it’s enough to play him to win on Saturday night.
Sheldon Creed +800
2020 proved to be a banner year for Creed, as he walked away with the championship after the strangest season in NASCAR history. During his championship season, Creed managed to pick up 5 wins, including a couple in the final weeks of the season. He is still on the lookout for his first win of 2021, although his start to the season is eerily similar to what he delivered last year. It was the 7th race of the season where he picked up his first win, but that one came at Richmond. In the 3 races at Kansas Speedway last year, Creed managed to crack the top 10 just once.
Austin Hill +1000
Getting off to a slow start can make things tough for ant driver, but Austin Hill has proven that consistency pays off. While he has yet to pick up a win this season, Hill has bounced back from disappointing showings in the opening 2 races of the season. Since then, he has had a pair of podium finishes and two more in the top 10, which has him sitting 4th overall in the driver standings. He was outstanding at Kansas last season, finishing 1st, 3rd, and 6th in the 3 races there, so he is a very good choice this weekend.
