Betting Picks For NBA Weekend Action (March 31st)

Written by on March 31, 2017

As the end of the NBA regular season approaches, the final push for playoff spots and seedings is coming to a head. Team that have already been eliminated will have the opportunity to play the role of the spoiler, while teams that have clinched may use this opportunity to try and rest some of their key players. This can make NBA betting a little tricky, but I am still going to try and pick out some winners for the weekend. Instead of going single plays, let’s try a trip of 2-team parlay picks, keeping in mind that you can play them as singles if you wish, or you can add to them if you feel like really boosting your bankroll.

Betting Picks For NBA Weekend Action (March 31st)

NBA Parlay Picks for Friday – Celtics and Raptors

For Friday’s picks, I am sticking with teams that still have it all to play for in the Eastern Conference. I don’t think that very many people picked the Boston Celtics to win the East prior to the start of the season, but they are in position to do just that. They should have no problem disposing of the Orlando Magic on home court and putting even more pressure on the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Toronto Raptors will have a bit of a tricky game on their hands on Friday night, as they will be hosting an Indiana Pacers team that is trying desperately to cling to the final playoff spot in the East. Pacers are brutal on the road, though, so edge goes to Toronto.

NBA Parlay Picks for Saturday – Clippers and Trail Blazers

Saturday sees the battle of LA, with the Clippers and Lakers renewing hostilities at the Staples Center. The Clippers have clinched their playoff berth and may not be totally inspired to go all out for the win, but they probably don’t have to against a Lakers team that has only a single win in its last 10 games. The Portland Trail Blazers have a 1.5-game lead for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, and they can get one step closer to clinching with a win over the awful Phoenix Suns on Saturday night. This is an opportunity that I can’t see them passing up, especially when you consider than the Suns only have 9 wins on the road this season.

NBA Parlay Picks for Sunday – Bucks and Heat

While the Milwaukee Bucks appear to be comfortable in the #6 spot in the East, they are still not mathematically assured of a playoff spot, which means they will be going all out to finish the season strong. They should be able to get the final few games of their regular season off to a positive start with a home win over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. The Miami Heat are finishing the season strong, and have now pushed their way up to the #7 seed in the East, which would currently mean an opening round match-up versus the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers. I like the Heat to maintain their position with a win over the Denver Nuggets.
