These teams played a great game on Feb. 10 with the Suns winning 125-124. Devin Booker scored 30 points and Chris Paul added 28 points and seven assists. Booker and Paul combined for 15 points in a tight fourth quarter. The Bucks had a chance to win on the final possession, but Giannis Antetokounmpo missed a 20-foot jumper at the buzzer. He had a season-high 47 points, though. Antetokounmpo made 15 of 23 shots from the field, including 15 of 19 from inside the arc. The Bucks were without star guard Jrue Holiday.

The Suns had a four-game winning streak snapped in a shocking 111-85 home loss to San Antonio on Saturday. All-Star Devin Booker shot 6-of-18 from the field for 15 points on Saturday, missing his only 3-point attempt with three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Booker has been slumping with 18-of-53 shooting (34.0%) in his past three games.

Booker still finished second on the team in scoring on a night when the Suns shot a collective 40.0 percent from the field and made only six of 27 attempts from deep. Booker certainly has better performances ahead given his season averages of 25.7 points, 4.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds. Booker did reach 9,000 career points, becoming the 5th-youngest player in NBA history to reach that mark.

Fellow All-Star Chris Paul played just 22 minutes and had six points and six assists. Paul ended up spending plenty of time on the bench himself as San Antonio built a 19-point halftime. He needs 10 assists to move ahead of Magic Johnson (10,141) into 5th place on the NBA’s all-time assists leaderboard. Cameron Johnson broke his nose at practice on Friday but played Saturday with a mask and had five points and three rebounds.

The Suns rank 7th in Offensive Rating and 5th in Defensive Rating, 1 of 4 teams in the NBA that currently rank in the top 10 in both Offensive and Defensive Rating, along with Utah, the LA Clippers and Milwaukee. The Suns haven’t finished a season ranked in the top 10 in both Offensive and Defensive Rating since 1997-98.

The Bucks had a three-game winning streak snapped in a 128-115 home loss to Memphis on Saturday. Grayson Allen shot 7 of 10 from 3-point range and scored 26 points to lead six Grizzlies in double figures. Memphis took the lead for good Saturday with 5:02 left in the first quarter during a 10-0 run that included six points from Desmond Bane. The Grizzlies shot 54.8% (51 of 93) from the floor.

“They played very well on offense,” said Bucks guard Bryn Forbes, who scored 19 points. “Tonight, we couldn’t keep up. Most nights, I feel like we could. But tonight, 128 points is a whole lot in just 48 minutes. I think it all lies on the defensive end.” Forbes has started the past two with Donte DiVincenzo out due to injury. He’s questionable here.

Giannis Antetokounmpo shot 10-of-18 from the field and 8-of-12 from the foul line in Saturday’s loss, tallying 28 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in 29 minutes.  He finished two assists shy of a triple-double, while shooting better than 55% from the field for a fourth consecutive game. It was the Freak’s 17th game of the season with 25/10/5 (2nd-most in the NBA). Since the start of the 2018-19 season, Antetokounmpo has logged 72 games with at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists, which is 26 more than the next closest player.

Khris Middleton recorded had 16 points, 10 assists and five rebounds in the loss. The 10 assists are the most that Middleton has dished out in a game since February 10, when he racked up 11 in a loss to the Suns. For the season he’s averaging a career-best 5.5 assists per game.

Brook Lopez has scored at least 17 points in each of his last three games after putting up 17 points on Saturday against the Grizzlies. Over his last three games, Lopez is averaging 18.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while shooting 56% from the field and 47% from three. He’s also averaging three 3-point makes each game.
