NBA Playoffs Odds, Picks and Prediction for Sacramento Kings vs Golden State Warriors: Round 1, Game 3

NBA Playoffs Odds, Picks and Prediction for Sacramento Kings vs Golden State Warriors: Round 1, Game 3

The Sacramento Kings have made a name for themselves this season by having one of the best offenses in the league. In Monday night’s Game 2 victory over the Golden State Warriors, it was their defense that won them the game. The third-seeded Kings will now take their 2-0 series lead to San Francisco to try and put the defending champions in a 3-0 hole.

In their 114-106 win on Monday, the Kings showed their resiliency. Even though Andrew Wiggins, Steph Curry, and Klay Thompson combined for 71 points, the Kings didn’t allow others to have big games. Jordan Poole only scored four points, and the Warriors bench only scored 21, and 13 of those were from Gary Payton II.

We’ll see if the Kings can continue to take it to the Warriors on their home floor in Game 3 on Thursday night. We will now preview each of the teams, and then we’ll give you our NBA betting predictions for this pivotal Western Conference playoff game.

Sacramento Kings

The Kings couldn’t have asked for a better scenario. Heading to San Francisco with a 2-0 lead, the Kings know that the Warriors will be tough to beat in Game 3, but if they do, they know that the series is theirs to lose. With the Kings getting balanced scoring in Game 2, the Warriors can’t just key on stopping one player.

Sacramento had six players score in double figures on Monday night, including Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox with 24 apiece, Malik Monk with 18, Kevin Huerter with 15, Davion Mitchell with 14, and Harrison Barnes with 13. If the Kings can spread the wealth like this, they will be tough for Golden State to stop.

While we brag about the Kings offense, we also have to give credit to their defense. Holding a great offensive team like the Warriors to just 106 points is tough to do. Davion Mitchell and Kevin Huerter made Steph Curry work for every point. The rest of the team did a great job of not allowing their men to have huge games.

Golden State Warriors

Could we be seeing the end of the Golden State dynasty? The Warriors were awful on the road this season, and maybe getting back home is what they need to get back into this series. One factor heading into Thursday’s game will be the availability of Draymond Green.

Green stomped on Domantas Sabonis’s chest after Sabonis grabbed his leg when he fell. Green was given a flagrant 2 foul and was ejected from the game. Green could face suspension from the league for his actions. Green doesn’t score a lot, but he is a focal point for the Warriors offense.

Betting Predictions

Heading into Thursday night’s game, the Warriors are 6.5-point favorites. The oddsmakers seem to think that heading back home is just what the Warriors need. We tend to agree with them. Monitor the spread, as Draymond Green may be suspended for this game.

If he is, we look for the line to maybe go down to around four points. We think Golden State wins big in this one, as their backs are against the wall, and they can’t afford to go down 3-0.

Great ending Warriors vs Kings!
