So it’s not a stretch to say the Suns will sweep their first round opponent. It’s especially not a stretch because the first round opponent could be the Spurs, T’Wolves, or Pelicans.

But if it’s the Clippers, the Suns could struggle. Paul George is dominating and the Clippers’ defense has stepped it up big time.

That doesn’t mean Phoenix doesn’t win the series. But it does mean that the Suns, should they face the Clippers, could end up losing two games.

The Eastern Conference’s 1-seed will enter the playoffs hot and will beat the 8-seed

The 1-seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs will go to either the Miami Heat or the Boston Celtics.

The Heat have won 5 straight as of April 6. The Celtics have won 3 straight. So, really, it doesn’t matter which team grabs the 1 or the 2. Both teams will be hot heading into the postseason and is likely to beat the 8-seed while whichever squad ends up the 2-seed will beat the 7-seed.

The Brooklyn Nets, should they make the playoffs, won’t go past the first round.

Brooklyn must play their way into the NBA Playoffs. One of the preseason favorites will have to either play the Boston Celtics or the Miami Heat.

The Nets won’t get past either team because Ben Simmons, whom they were counting on to play the point, remains injured.

Without Simmons, Kyrie Irving must play the point and account for much of the scoring. That’s a lot to put on one player versus solid clubs like Cs and the Heat.

Milwaukee will knock out the Bulls in the first round

After struggling for the past few seasons, the Chicago Bulls had a rousing 2021-2022. DeMar DeRozan had his best season ever while the rest of the Bulls stepped it up.

But although Chicago is a solid club, they’re up against it in the first round. It looks like Giannis and the Bucks will be the 3-seed.

Milwaukee blasted Chicago 127-106 in the last head-to-head. So we should expect a first round Milwaukee sweep.
