Why Golden State Warriors are a good bet at +7?

Although Golden State lost Kevin Durant during Game 5, they managed to pull out a 104-99 win. The fact that the Warriors won without Durant means they’re capable of at least pushing the Rockets for a win against the spread on Friday night.

But, Golden State doesn’t need Durant to beat the Houston Rockets. Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson should all step it up on May 10. If they do, the Warriors could be a in a position to win Game 6 outright.

Rockets vs Warriors Game 6 Final Analysis

Golden State picked it up in Game 5. After Durant went down, the rest of the Warriors took it on their shoulders to carry the load. Although winning without Durant should give the Warriors confidence heading into Game 6, a key stats point to Houston winning and covering the spread.

Klay Thompson shot 50% from the three-point line in Game 5. He made 5-of-10. It’s hard to see Thompson repeating that on Friday night. Also, Steph Curry scored 25 points, but he was only 9-of-23 from the field and 3-of-11 from behind the arc.

Curry’s shooting slump should continue while Thompson figures to cool down. The Rockets win and cover.
