Coronavirus (COVID-19) NCAAB Update – March 1st Edition

Coronavirus (COVID-19) NCAAB Update – March 1st Edition

The NCAA Basketball season is rapidly coming to an end. This week marks the last week of the regular season. Many conferences are starting their conference tournaments this week, and some even started last week. Many of this week’s regular season games are games that had to be moved due to COVID issues earlier in the season. With that being said, we’re still going to see some great games being played this week.

On Tuesday, we’ll see nine ranked teams in action, with two huge matchups between ranked teams. Tuesday also marks the day that the Horizon League starts their conference tournament. Let’s take a look at some of Tuesday’s top matchups so you can bet against their College Basketball odds.

NCAA Basketball COVID-19 Update – March 1st Edition

#2 Baylor Bears @ #10 West Virginia Mountaineers

The Bears are coming off of their first loss of the season. Baylor was just a few days off of a long layoff due to COVID issues. In their loss to Kansas, Baylor struggled shooting the ball. Coming in, they were one of the top shooting teams in the country.

Baylor won’t have it easy on Tuesday as they’ll face a very good West Virginia team. Bob Huggins’ squads always defend well, so Baylor’s shooting woes could continue. This will be a huge game for West Virginia, as a victory over Baylor could get them a better seed in the NCAA Tournament.

#5 Illinois Fighting Illini @ #3 Michigan Wolverines

Ayo Dosunmu hasn’t played in the last two games due to a broken nose, but we anticipate that he’ll be ready to play on Tuesday in this huge Big 10 battle. In Dosunmu’s absence, Kofi Cockburn has stepped up. Cockburn will be matched up against one of the best freshmen in the country, in Michigan’s Hunter Dickinson.

Juwan Howard’s Wolverines have taken the nation by storm. The Wolverines weren’t expected to be this good this soon, but with an outstanding group of youngsters mixed in with some savvy veterans, Howard now has one of the top teams in the country.

Illinois is currently in second place in the Big 10. If they want to have any shot at winning the Big 10, they have to win on Tuesday, as a Wolverine victory clinches them the Big 10 regular season title. In what will be a busy three-game week for Michigan, they’ll really want to win on Tuesday so they can clinch the title and not have to worry about it later on in the week.

Auburn Tigers @ #6 Alabama Crimson Tide

In the basketball version of the “Iron Bowl”, the Auburn Tigers will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the Crimson Tide. Alabama is one of the best three point shooting teams in the country. Nate Oats has quickly made the Tide into a national title contender. Bruce Pearl’s young squad is coming off of an upset victory over Tennessee. Auburn won’t be making the NCAA Tournament, but they’d love to knock off the top team in the SEC. Alabama has already clinched the SEC, so we could see some of their top players getting a little more rest than normal.
