Chris Duarte added 20 points for the Ducks, who have won 11 of their last 12 games against the Sun Devils. Arizona State remained one of only two Pac-12 teams, along with Washington State, that has never won at Matthew Knight Arena, which opened in 2011. Remy Martin led ASU with 29 points.

Oregon leads the all-time series 45-43.

Why Bet on Oregon?

Oregon (20-6, 9-4 Pac-12) won its second in a row Sunday, 80-62 over Utah. The Ducks shot 58% from the field and made half of their 24 3-point attempts. The Ducks went into halftime up 44-30, having gone 10-of-15 from three-point range. The game was essentially over at that point. The closest Utah would get in the second half was eight, at 55-47.

Senior guard Payton Pritchard finished 8-of-13 from the field and 5-of-9 from three-point range for 25 points. Will Richardson filled up the box score with 18 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals. Shakur Juiston added 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Pritchard’s 25 points gave him 1,810 for his career, No. 5 in UO men’s basketball history. Next in his sights is Greg Ballard (1,829, 1973-77).  Already the school’s record holder in assists (637), wins (101) and games started (135), Pritchard is also on pace to become the school’s career leader in steals and games played and could become just the second 2,000-point scorer in program history.

Pritchard is one of just four players nationally – and the only one from a Power Six team – averaging at least 19 points, four rebounds and five assists per game. He was named the Naismith national player of the week on Monday.

Richardson has scored in double figures in five of the last six games. He’s averaging 15.3 points per game in that span and hitting 66.7 percent from three-point range (12-of-18). Richardson leads the Pac-12 in three-point field goal percentage, .492, a mark that would rank third in UO single-season history.

The victory gave the Ducks their 10th consecutive season with 20 or more wins. The only other schools currently with at least 10 straight 20-win seasons are Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas, Louisville, Saint Mary’s and Vermont. Dana Altman passed John Wooden for 26th on the all-time NCAA Division I coaching wins list. Altman now has won 665 games as a Division I head coach. Wooden, the Hall of Fame coach for Indiana State and UCLA, won 664 games. Gary Williams is 25th with 668 wins.

Why Bet on Arizona State?

ASU (17-8, 8-4 Pac-12) won its fifth in a row Sunday, 80-75 at California. Remy Martin, the Pac-12’s leading scorer, was mostly quiet through much of the game due to foul trouble then took over midway through the second half. He scored 12 of Arizona State’s 16 points during one stretch, then made a 3-pointer to put the Sun Devils ahead 71-63 with two minutes remaining. California got within 78-75 following Kareem South’s three-point play with 14 seconds left before Alonzo Verge Jr. made two free throws to seal it.

Martin finished with 22 points and so did Alonz0 Verge Jr. Romello White (10 points, 10 rebounds) had his eighth double-double of the season for the Sun Devils, who currently sit in a three-way tie for second-place in the Pac-12. The Sun Devils doubled up the Bears in second chance points (10-5) and had more than three times as many points off turnovers (14-4).

Martin was named Pac-12 Player of the Week on Monday for the second time this season. Martin averaged 23.0 points on 67 percent shooting (16-24), including 5-of-6 behind the arc, and 3.5 assists as Arizona State swept the Bay Area schools. Martin enters play this week as the league’s top scorer in overall games (19.56), league tilts (21.33) and has the most 20-point games (16).

The road sweep last week in the Bay area was ASU’s first in more than a decade (January 2010) and first in the Pac-12 era. It also extended the Sun Devils’ league win streak to five games, the sixth-longest among major conference programs nationally and longest for the program since Feb. 2009.

After averaging 6.2 ppg., going 1-of-9 from the three-point stripe and shooting 11-of-45 (.244) from the field in his first five Pac-12 games, Verge has been on fire recently, as after that five-game span he is averaging 17.9 points, is 47-of-90 (.522) from the field, 7-of-15 (.467) from three and 24-of-31 (.774) from the foul line in the past eight games.

ASU has defeated seven ranked teams in Bobby Hurley’s five seasons, but it trailed at the half in five of the wins, including both wins over Kansas.
