Although the NCAA Tournament is more than a month away, we basketball handicappers must start putting things in place for a successful March Madness. Putting things in place not only includes paying attention to NCAAB Betting trends.

It also includes looking towards possibly backing under the radar National Championship contenders. Check out a list of 5 teams along with title odds who could beat Duke, Kentucky, Gonzaga, Virginia, and any other team favored to win the NCAA Tournament.

Top 5 NCAA Teams that Nobody’s Talking About

Nevada Wolf Pack +2000

At +2000, Nevada’s not exactly a super underdog to win the NCAA Tournament. The best team in the Mountain West Conference currently ranks 6th in the nation. Nevada almost assuredly will receive either a 3 or 4 seed. Why not a 1-seed? The Wolf Pack got drubbed 85-58 by New Mexico this season.

That loss ensures Nevada comes nowhere near a 1, which is okay with us. The lower the seed, the higher the Wolf Pack’s odds should go.

Kansas State Wildcats +10000

Winning the NCAA Tournament means showing up with a flexible game. That’s K-State, who prefers to keep teams from putting the ball into the basket, but who can also step it up offensively. Kansas State averages 65.9 points per. They’ve scored 70 or more in their last 4 games, though. That versality should serve the Wildcats well once the tournament rolls around.

Houston Cougars +7000

The Cougars have the perfect mix of great offense and lock down defense for a deep tournament run. Houston averages 75.2 points per while shooting 44% from the field and 34% from three. Opponents only average 60.7 points per because the Cougars allow 36.4% shooting from the field and 27% shooting from three.

Because Houston’s solid on both ends of the court, they could be a fearsome opponent during the NCAA Tournament.

LSU Tigers +10000

LSU upset Kentucky on the moneyline as a +9 dog just this past Tuesday on Feb. 12. Their odds to win the NCAA Tournament are still astronomical. Why? Most don’t believe the Tigers will win more than a single game in the tournament.

However, Tremont Waters plays for Louisiana State. Waters might be the best point-guard in the nation. As long as he puts his shoes on for LSU, the Tigers will have a shot to win games in the NCAA Tournament.

Washington Huskies +15000

It’s a down year for the Pac 12 with only the Washington Huskies expected to make it to the tournament. Washington lost to ASU on Feb. 9, but before the loss, the Huskies had run off 10 wins straight up and against the spread.

The Pac 12 might not be as bad this season as so many believe it is, and the Huskies do shoot a solid 46.2% from the field and 34.8% from three. Washington also has a dynamite backcourt led by Jaylen Nowell who drops 16.4 points, dishes 3.4 assists, and grabs 5.3 boards per.

Nowell will keep Washington close in games they should lose while helping the Huskies get by teams they’re supposed to beat. He could be one of those surprise NCAA Tournament players that leads his team to the Final Four.
