The weekend is once again upon us, and with it comes an absolutely loaded Saturday slate with marquee matchups all over the country. How are you supposed to navigate such fantastic contests and find the best wagers to place?
Well, you are here, and these are the best college basketball bets for this weekend.
Washington State Cougars at UCLA Bruins (-18)
While this game represents one of the largest spreads of the Saturday slate, it also represents the best wager of the day. The Bruins have lost two consecutive games, that is true. What is also true is that both of those games were on the road in conference play against the second and third-best teams in the Pac-12 conference. Arizona is an elite eight-type team, while Southern California is a possible second-weekend club.
What is also true is that the UCLA Bruins are one of the top eight teams in the nation and are returning home, having lost consecutive games for the second time this season. Following their early season skid in which they fell to Illinois and Baylor prior to Thanksgiving, they absolutely passed the Pepperdine Waves by nearly 50 points.
While the Cougars are certainly better than Lorenzo Romar’s crew from Malibu, they are one of the worst teams in the Pac-12 on the road this season. Wazzou is just 2-5 against the spread on the season and are underperforming the number in those contests by -4.1 points per game. Meanwhile, the Bruins are the second-best home team in the conference at home with a margin of victory number of +22.0 points while outperforming the spread by +4.0 points.
The Bruins are going to be itching to “get right” at home and show that they are indeed one of the best teams in the nation. You can forget that previous matchup in which the Cougars fell by just a single point; they are the only team in the Pac-12 that is better at home than the Bruins. UCLA wins this game by a boatload.

Fordham Rams (+3) at Richmond Spiders
If you are looking for a nice moneyline play on Sunday, look no further than the Atlantic 10. There seems to be little realization that the Fordham Rams are a very good team. The combination of Darius Quisenberry and Khalid Moore are putting up over 32 points per ball game and have led the Rams to six victories in their last seven opportunities.
In their last outing, the duo combined to score 47 points in a victory over the Saint Louis Billikens, a team with NCAA Tournament aspirations. The Rams are one of the best road teams against the spread in the A-10 at 4-2 on the season and outperforming the number by over six points per ball game. Meanwhile, the Spiders are just 5-6-1 ATS at home on the season. Look for Fordham to force the Spiders into poor shot selection while taking advantage of a porous defense.
