NCAAB 2021 Week 8 Matches To Must Watch and Bet On the Week

Omicron has messed with NCAA College Basketball schedules. College Basketball Betting – Week 8 odds: Top Games to Wager On Tuesday and Wednesday

  • When: Tuesday, Dec. 28 – Thursday, Dec. 30

UConn Huskies at Xavier Musketeers

  • When: Tuesday, Dec. 28

Xavier hasn’t played since Dec. 21 when they lost 58-71 to Villanova. But although the Musketeers didn’t have a good game in their last, they have proven to be very difficult to hang with at home.

Xavier is 11-2 SU and 9-4 ATS. But UConn is no slouch. The Huskies bounced back from a 4-point loss to Providence with a 78-70 victory against Marquette. UConn should cover the spread

NCAAM Pick: UConn Huskies

LSU Tigers at Auburn Tigers

  • When: Wednesday, Dec. 29

11-1 Auburn is also 8-4 against the spread. The Tigers rolled in their last, blasting Murray State 71-58. Because Auburn gets LSU at home for this, they should be the chalk.

It won’t be easy to beat LSU, though. The Baton Rouge Tigers are 12-0 SU and 10-2 against the spread. Based on those records, LSU is the team to back. Ah, but LSU has yet to face a team that’s close to as talented as Auburn. The home team Tigers grab a big win and cover.

NCAAM Pick: LSU Tigers

Seton Hall Pirates at Providence Friars

  • When: Wednesday, Dec. 29

Providence had to cancel their game versus Georgetown on Dec. 22, which means on Dec. 29, the Friars will have not played since Dec. 18.

The long layoff shouldn’t work in Providence’s favor. What also won’t work in their favor is the fact that Seton Hall has gone 3-0 ATS in their last 3 games. So even though the Hall will have not played since Dec. 12, which is a longer layoff than Providence’s, taking the points on the Pirates makes sense.

NCAAM Pick: Seton Hall Pirates

Missouri Tigers at Kentucky Wildcats

  • When: Wednesday, Dec. 29

On paper, the Kentucky Wildcats should roll. Mizzou might be the worst team in the SEC. The Tigers are 6-6 straight up and 4-7 against the spread. Missouri heads into this after losing 66-83 to Illinois on a neutral court.

Kentucky has won 2 straight and covered in both. The Wildcats also scored over 90 in each game, 98-69 versus North Carolina, and 95-60 versus Western Kentucky. Big Blue rolls.

NCAAM Pick: Kentucky Wildcats

Tennessee Volunteers at Alabama Crimson Tide

  • When: Wednesday, Dec. 29

This feels like a game between two teams moving in opposite directions. The Alabama Crimson Tide jumped into the Top 10 after beating the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

But since that victory, Alabama has gone 0-4 ATS in their last 4 and has lost 2-of-4 straight up, including a 78-79 game versus Davidson as a -9 ½ chalk.

Tennessee has won 3 straight. The Vols beat then undefeated Arizona 77-73 in their last. Volunteers can win this on the moneyline.

NCAAM Pick: Tennessee Volunteers

Temple Owls at Villanova Wildcats

  • When: Wednesday, Dec. 29

7-5 Temple has struggled against teams like Central Florida and Saint Joes. The struggles don’t bode well for the Owls heading into their matchup against the Villanova Wildcats.

Nova broke a 2-game losing streak in their last with a solid 71-58 win against Xavier. Temple doesn’t have much of a chance of keeping this close. We should expect a massive spread and then we should expect Jay Wright’s team to cover it.

NCAAM Pick: Villanova Wildcats
