2016 NFL Week 2 Full Game Winning Predictions

Written by on July 28, 2016

Okay pigskin betting aficionados, if you’re ready for some NFL picks and predictions, then you’ve come to the right place! Will the Washington Redskins take care of business in their Week 2 showdown against longtime NFC East rival Dallas?

Who’s going to come out on top when Pittsburgh and Cincinnati stage one of their two perennial AFC North wars? Last but not least, will the Los Angeles Rams continue their trend of giving Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks a tough way to go? Let’s find out as I break down every Week 2 matchup on the 2016 docket.

Here’s a Closer Look At The 2016 NFL Week 2 Full Game Winning Predictions

Thursday, September 15, 2016

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills (-2)
Maybe it’s me but I’m wondering how many interceptions Rex Ryan’s defense is going to force New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith into? Buffalo wins and covers the NFL betting line in this AFC East divisional showdown.

San Francisco 49ers at Carolina Panthers (-11.5)
Carolina will undoubtedly win this Week 2 matchup, but I’m going with Frisco to cover by the slimmest of margins.

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins (PK)
These NFC East rivals split their two regular season matchups in 2015 while winning on the road. This season, both playoff hopefuls hold it down at home, making the Skins the pick to win and cash in against the ‘Boys this Week 2 clash.

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (-4)
Without dual-threat running back Le’Veon Bell, Pittsburgh is a lot more one dimensional on offense, making the ‘desperate’ Bengals the pick to cover, possibly by recording the outright road win.

New Orleans Saints at New York Giants (-4.5)
The big question surrounding this Week 2 matchup is whether anyone’s going to play any defense. I like the Giants to win a high-scoring thriller, but the Saints to cover – barely.

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots (-9.5)
Laugh all you want…all I know is that a retired Brett Favre is probably still better than Miami’s Ryan Tannehill. Still, without Tom Brady, the Fins cover with room to spare.

Kansas City Chiefs at Houston Texans (PK)
The Texans and Chiefs have very real postseason plans heading into 2016 and even though I like the Chiefs’ chances of making a deep playoff run more than I like Houston’s I’m going with the Texans to get the narrow home win as a pick ‘em.

Tennessee Titans at Detroit Lions (-5)
Matthew Stafford and the Lions are going to simply outscore Marcus Mariota and the Titans in this Week 2 Inter-conference affair.

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns (+3)
While I’m expecting Cleveland to give Baltimore a tough way to go in this Week 2 pairing, I’m going with Baltimore to get the win and narrow ATS cover as a 3-point road favorite as they get back to being the winning franchise they’ve been for the better part of the last decade and a half.

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams (+4)
I don’t have a clue why the perennially mediocre Rams give Russell Wilson and the Seahawks absolute fits, but they certainly do. Don’t call it an upset…’cause this is what the Rams do…well, at last to Seattle. L.A. covers in another stunner against Seattle!

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Arizona Cardinals (-9)
Let’s see…Carson Palmer and the Cardinals are far superior to Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers, but why does the 9-point spread feel like a classic trap? I’m going with a feisty Tampa Bay ballclub to cover the spread!

Jacksonville Jaguars at San Diego Chargers (-2.5)
Make no mistake about it people…this Week 2 matchup is a must-win for Philip Rivers and the Bolts. San Diego gets the win and ATS payday.

Falcons at Oakland Raiders (-3.5)
Everyone’s excited about Derek Carr and the blossoming Oakland Raiders, but I like Matt Ryan and the Falcons to cover the spread at the very least in this Week 2 pairing that I expect to be a fun-filled, high-scoring matchup.

Indianapolis Colts at Broncos (-5)
The Broncos might have an elite defense, but I think they’re going to struggle offensively in 2016 while a healthy Andrew Luck gets back to showing everyone why he’s a legitimate franchise signal-caller. Indianapolis covers the NFL betting line – by winning outright!

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings (PK)
The Packers will be looking for revenge against Minnesota after losing their grip on the NFC North title last season, but I don’t think they’re going to get it in this Week 2 matchup. The Vikes are solid defensively and playing at home against a Packers team they suddenly match up very well against. Minnesota wins outright.

Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears (-2.5)vI like John Fox and his Chicago Bears to get the slim home win and ATS cover in this Week 2 affair as mediocre Jay Cutler outplays ‘Mr. Deer in the Headlights’ Sam Bradford.
