  • Most NFC North Titles: Dallas Cowboys (22)

2018 NFC North Favorite

  • Philadelphia Eagles -230
There are a lot of reasons why the Eagles should be favored to win the NFC East. The Eagles have the best team in the division. That’s apparent after Philly won the Super Bowl last season. The Eagles didn’t lose enough on either offense or defense to not be favored to win the NFC East this year. But, the Eagles head to the 2018-2019 NFL Regular Season facing the toughest schedule in the NFL. They also face 3 NFC East rivals that have all improved. There’s a lot the Eagles must overcome to just win their division this season.

2018 NFC North Smart Pick

  • Dallas Cowboys +280
In 2017, Dallas was the favorite to win the NFC East before Ezekiel Elliott had to sit out 6 games with a suspension. Once the news broke that Elliott had to take to the bench, the odds on the Boys skyrocketed. They still managed to play decently without Zeke. Dallas scored in the 2018 draft. Their Round 1 pick, LB Leighton Vander Esch, should excel playing next to Sean Lee. Their Round 2 pick, offensive tackle Connor Williams, was ranked as the third best OT on many draft boards. The offense might be more effective with Allen Hurns at wide receiver instead of Dez Bryant. Hurns is a great possession type WR who won’t demand the football. If tight-end Geoff Swaim can be effective, the Cowboys should have a steady, if not spectacular, offense. The defense could be dynamite if Vander Esch is everything he appears to be. Don’t sleep on the Cowboys winning the NFC East.

2018 NFC North Longshot

  • New York Giants +580
Who was the favorite to win the NFC East before Week 1 last season? If you guessed the New York Giants, you’re right. The Giants could easily be this year’s worst to the first team from any division. The Giants are not the favorites to win the 2018 NFC East title. They drafted a can’t miss running back in Saquon Barkley. Barkley should free up Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shephard, and TE Evan Engram to catch passes from effective QB Eli Manning. The Giants will protect Manning better this season than they did last season after signing LT Nate Solder away from the Patriots. The Giants even improved their defense by adding Alec Ogletree, the Rams’ top tackler last season. The Giants are a serious contender to win the NFC East.
