NFL Week 4 Parlay Picks

NFL Week 4 Parlay Picks

Written by on September 24, 2018

Can Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans get their first win of the season after being proclaimed as legitimate AFC championship contenders prior to the start of the season?

Can the Denver Broncos slow down the incendiary Kansas City Chiefs in their NFL Week 4 AFC West divisional showdown?

Last but not least, who’s getting the win when the Super Bowl-hopeful Los Angeles Rams host a Minnesota Vikings team that got stunned this past weekend?

After a sort of wild and wacky NFL Week 3, let’s get to my Week 4 parlay picks right now.

NFL Week 4 Parlay Picks

Houston (0-3) at Indianapolis (1-2)

When: Sunday, September 30 at 1:00 PM ETWhere: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, INTV: CBSNFL Week 4 Odds: Indianapolis -2.5 / Total: 47.5Houston was on the wrong end of a uninspiring 27-22 against the previously winless Giants on Sunday. Deshaun Watson passed for 285 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, but Houston got held to just 59 rushing yards in the loss and allowed Eli Manning to complete a blistering 25 of 29 passes with two touchdowns and no picks.

Indianapolis fell against Philly 20-16 on Sunday, but the Colts put up a good effort and had a chance to win it late before coming up just short against the defending champs. Andrew Luck was limited to just 164 passing yards with one TD and no picks, but the Colts were held to just 68 rushing yards and lacked offensive balance in the loss.

I know Houston lost at home against a rebuilding New York Giants team and that they’ve underachieved in a big way through three games, but I’m going to advise you to back the Texans to get the Week 4 win and ATS cover even though the Indianapolis Colts have looked pretty solid so far this season.

This matchup is an AFC South divisional rivalry, the Texans have more overall talent on their roster and Indianapolis doesn’t have the best defense around. I’m expecting sheer desperation to help Deshaun Watson and Houston’s struggling offense to have a breakout performance in order to get the win and narrow road cover against Andrew Luck and company.

Despite the fact that Houston is 0-5 ATS in its last five games and Indianapolis is 4-1 ATS in its last five, I’m going to urge you to back the Texans to get it done!

NFL Week 4 Pick: Texans 28 Colts 24

Kansas City (3-0) at Denver (1-2)

Are the Chiefs a safe bet in NFL Week 4?When: Monday, October 1 at 8:15 PM ET
Where: Broncos Stadium at Mile High, Denver, CO
NFL Week 4 Odds: Kansas City -4 / Total: 55

The Chiefs rolled to an easy 38-27 win over San Francisco on Sunday as Patrick Mahomes went 24 of 38 for 314 yards with three TD passes and no interceptions. Running back Kareem Hunt added 44 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries while Sammy Watkins, Demetrius Harris and Chris Conley all added TD grabs in the win.

Denver got man-handled in its 27-14 road loss at Baltimore on Sunday as quarterback Case Keenum struggled by passing for just 192 yards with one interception and no touchdowns. The Broncos did get rushing scores from Royce Freeman and Emmanuel Sanders but Keenum was sacked three times in the loss and finished with an awful 29.3 quarterback rating.

The Broncos might be playing at home in this Week 4 AFC West matchup, but the Kansas City Chiefs are the easy pick simply because they’re scoring points in bunches and young quarterback Patrick Mahomes is clearly light years better than Case Keenum. Denver signed the veteran to shore up what has been some pitiful play at the position the last two years, but Keenum has tossed five interceptions against just three TD passes so far this season while compiling an unsightly 37.5 quarterback rating.

The Chiefs have won five straight in this series and are a blistering 7-1 ATS in their last eight games while Denver has gone 0-4-1 ATS in its last five games. Kansas City wins and covers.

NFL Week 4 Pick: Chiefs 35 Broncos 24

Minnesota (1-1-1) at LA Rams (3-0)

When: Thursday, September 27 at 8:20 PM ET
Where: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
NFL Week 4 Odds: Rams -6.5 / Total: 48.5
Minnesota was on the wrong end of a massive 27-6 home loss on Sunday against a Buffalo Bills team that had looked completely incompetent over their first two games this season. Veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins passed for 296 yards with one touchdown and one interception, but the Vikings got held to a mind-boggling 14 rushing yards in the loss while never coming close to covering the chalk as a 16.5-point home favorite.

The Rams remained unbeaten by beating the Los Angeles Chargers 35-23 on Sunday to cash in as a 7-point home favorite. Quarterback Jared Goff passed for 345 yards with three touchdowns and one interception while running back Todd Gurley rushed 23 times for 105 yards and one score in their ‘Battle of Los Angeles’ win against the Bolts.

The Los Angeles rams have gone 10-5 ATS in their last 15 games while the Minnesota Vikings are a discouraging 1-5 ATS in their last six. The rams want some revenge for their 24-7 loss against the Vikings last season and they’ll get it simply because, right now, they are the clearly better team on both sides of the ball.

The Rams are currently ranked fourth in scoring by putting up 34.0 points per game while also leading the NFL in points allowed by holding the opposition to just 12.0 points per contest. Minnesota is 24th in scoring (19.6 ppg) and just 17th in points allowed (24.0 ppg) after leading the league last season. Don’t think twice about it people, the Rams win and narrowly cover the chalk as a 6.5-point home favorite.

NFL Week 4 Pick: Rams 28 Vikings 20
