NFL 2020 Week 6 O/U Picks Expert Analysis

NFL 2020 Week 6 O/U Picks Expert Analysis

Written by on October 14, 2020

One of the biggest concerns heading into this season was that the coronavirus would somehow leave its mark on the season. There have been a few teams who have been hit, and while the league had done a good job of shuffling dates around, it does create a bit of a situation for players and bettors alike. Games have already needed to be rescheduled and bye weeks adjusted to manage the situation, and while it is working for now, are we in danger of reaching a situation where it becomes too difficult to work around? I remain hopeful that everyone will learn to adapt and make this potential hazard a non-factor, and with that in mind, we look ahead to Week 7. For this piece, we are going to focus solely on our O/U picks for the week, but we will also have SU and ATS picks coming your way. That being, let’s get right into action so you can keep on betting against their NFL odds.

Week 6 O/U Picks for the 2020 Season | NFL Betting

Baltimore Ravens at Philadelphia Eagles (OVER 47 ½)

Given how good the Ravens were on the offensive side of the football last season, the bookies may have been a little too eager to set their point totals on the high side, which might well explain why the Ravens have been trending towards the under this season. The Eagles have had their offensive issues this year, but Carson Wentz and company played well against one of the best defensive units in football last week in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. There are a couple of reasons why I am leaning towards the OVER here, starting with the fact that the OVER has hit in 4 of the last Week 6 games for the Ravens. They are also 5-1 O/U in their last 6 games on grass. Not entirely convincing trends, but enough to make me look at the OVER.

Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (OVER 51)

This might well be the best game on the schedule this week, which is not something you get to say very often about a game that the Cleveland Browns are playing in. The reality, though, is that this Browns team is now beginning to live up to the hype, but this will be a tough test for them in Pittsburgh against a Steelers team that has yet to take a loss. While the Browns have been racking up some serious offense in their 4-game winning streak, they have also been giving points up, which is why the OVER has hit in 5 of their last 6 games. Even with a solid defense to draw upon, the Steelers are still trending towards the OVER, with 4 of their last 5 going that route.

Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills (OVER 57 ½)

While both of these teams are off to a fantastic start to the season, this one is critical for both the Chiefs and the Bills. Each of these teams went into Week 5 with an unbeaten record, but they both took their first losses of the season once it was all said and done. One of them will be on a 2-game losing skid once this is over, which is where doubts can begin to creep in. With that in mind, you can expect KC and Buffalo to come out in this one with all guns blazing, as they both look to bounce back and stop a losing skid in its tracks. The Bills have seen 4 of their last 5 go OVER, while the other game was a push. In games following an outing where the Chiefs failed to surpass 90 yards on the ground, the OVER has hit 7 out of the last 9.
