The new GM has come in and already slammed the picks made by his predecessor, which cannot fill its current crop of players with a lot of confidence. The offense has sputtered for the Browns all season long, managing just 14 PPG, while the defense has given up 25 PPG. Why bet on the Pittsburgh Steelers?
Word is that the Steelers will rest Ben Roethlisberger and LeVeon Bell this coming weekend, so look for the lines on this game to perhaps change to reflect that. While the Steelers still have an outside shot at the #1 seed, it is understandable that they would rest two players who have had issues with injuries heading into the playoffs over the last couple of seasons. Pittsburgh is also likely to be without Antonio Brown, who get injured in the loss to the Patriots a couple of weeks ago.
Even with those potential omissions, you still feel good about this team going out and getting the win, especially when you consider how good they have been on the defensive side of the football this year, surrendering less than 19 PPG. The Steelers are just 7-8 ATS and 5-10 O/U in 2017.
