Brady wins seventh Super Bowl in stunning 31-9 Tampa victory over KC

Terrific Tom Brady wasn’t perfect. But he didn’t have to be.

The greatest player of all time added another Super Bowl ring to his bejeweled hand after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated the favored Kansas City Chiefs to win Super bowl LV. Brady completed 21-of-29 for 201 yards. He threw 3 touchdown passes.

Although Brady won another SB MVP, the real story of the game was how KC failed to adjust after going down 21-6 at halftime. All season long, the Kansas City Chiefs came out of the locker room after the half after making game turning adjustments.

Not this time. The Chiefs were as flat as can be in the second half. The defensive game plan that Todd Bowles put together against Patrick Mahomes was a work of art. The current best player in the league threw 2 interceptions.

A more telling stat is that for each completion, Patrick and the Chiefs moved the ball a measly 5.5 yards. Each Brady completion averaged 6.9 yards.

Another telling stat? The Chiefs averaged 6.3 rushing yards per carry. But for some reason, Andy Reid and Eric Bienemy kept calling pass plays. Mahomes threw it 49 times while KC rushers carried it just 17 times.

The Bucs rushed the ball 33 times. The best way to beat your opponent is to run them into the ground. Tampa stuck to the game plan while the Chiefs failed to adjust, and that, more than any other reason, is how Terrific Tom got his seventh ring.

Chiefs begin 2021-2022 as Super Bowl LVI favorites, Packers and Buccaneers co-second choice

Oddsmakers are giving the Chiefs a pass. Heading into the NFL offseason, KC is a solid +500 choice to win their second Super Bowl in the past 3 seasons. The Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are both at +800 .

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are the third choice at +1100 while the Baltimore Ravens are at +1200. The Los Angeles Rams are the biggest mover. Super Bowl LVI odds before Super Bowl LV showed the Rams at higher odds.

While Jared Goff was their quarterback, the Rams were a +2400 choice. Now that Matthew Stafford will sit under center, the Rams are at +1400. The Saints may offer overlay odds at +1800.

But the team to watch heading into the offseason are the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland was at +3000 on February 8. In the span of 3 days, the odds on the Browns have dived to +1600. Keep your ears peeled for news on the Browns. Something big may be in the works.
