NFL Draft Betting Predictions: 2023 Players Moves that could change the Odds

We are a little over 3 weeks away from the 2023 NFL Draft, where we will see a new group of players enter the league as teams look to rebuild or strengthen. As has been the case with every single draft over the years, some players will live up to the hype, some will be a bust, and a few will emerge from the later rounds to become bona fide NFL starters. It’s all a bit of a crapshoot, but it’s definitely fun to watch and try to figure out who will land where. Teams have already started jockeying for position, making trades to improve their pick position so that they can hopefully land the player they really want. One such trade has changed how some think the first pick might go, so let’s look at 5 players who will almost certainly be picked early. Let’s take a look at some of the moves that we could potentially see on next Season, so you can make your bets against the NFL Odds.

NFL Betting Analysis Update for 2023 Draft

Bryce Young

Up until the Carolina Panthers traded with the Chicago Bears to land the #1 pick, the general consensus was that Young would be taken first. That trade has some pundits thinking he might now drop to second, but more on that in a moment. Young is a QB that can use his arm and legs to help him create big plays, but the knock on him is that he is a little too small to be effective as a QB in the NFL. That won’t stop a team from taking him early, but will it be the Panthers, or will he drop a spot or two?

CJ Stroud

Everyone was aware that Stroud, a QB out of Ohio State, would be among the top picks, but as soon as the Panthers moved up to #1, he became the guy that most believe will now go first. There is no doubt that he is a talented QB, but there are some concerns about his ability to make plays when defenses pressure him. He performed much better versus Georgia in the playoffs when dealing with defensive pressure, but one good game does not eliminate all the others out of memory.

Anthony Richardson

There are definitely some good options for teams looking to land a QB, but no player’s stock is currently high than Richardson’s, as he showed out in a big way at the NFL combine. He has the athleticism to be a top player, but his college stats do leave a little something to be desired. Sure, Florida was not particularly great over the last couple of seasons, so it may not be fair to totally blame his mediocre stats on him alone.

Will Levis

Another QB that looks set to go in the first round, but it would be a surprise to see Levis go above the other players mentioned here. He is coming off a sub-par season with Kentucky, but the Wildcats lost their best receiver and 3 starting offensive lineman to the draft the year prior, so it wasn’t that surprising that Levis saw a bit of a drop off. Great arm strength on this kid and some team will take a gamble.

Will Anderson Jr.

Every team in the NFL wants a defense that can get after the QB, and there is no better option in the draft than edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. His stats over the last couple of seasons are head and shoulders above others at the same position, so do not be surprised to see him picked in the top 5.
