2022 NFL Betting Analysis and Predictions of the Teams to Certainly Loose their Week 2 Match

Now that the dust has settled from Week 1, it’s time to look ahead to Week 2. In looking at the Week 2 games, we’ve found two games where we have come up with a sure loser. Let’s take a look at each of those games, and we’ll give you our pick for the sure losers so you don’t miss your chance to place your bets against their NFL Odds

Who Are the Sure Losers in Week 2 of NFL Action?

Cincinnati Bengals (-7) @ Dallas Cowboys

Things didn’t start off well for the Dallas Cowboys. Not only did they lose their home opener to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they also lost their starting quarterback, Dak Prescott, for at least six weeks. The Cowboys will now depend on Cooper Rush to lead them for the foreseeable future.

As for the Cincinnati Bengals, things didn’t go as planned for them, either. They turned the ball over five times, including four interceptions for Joe Burrow, and they lost in overtime to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On the plus side for the Bengals, they did put up 432 yards of offense. The Burrow to Ja’Marr Chase combo looks like it could be unstoppable. Even though it doesn’t look like Tee Higgins will play, the Bengals will still have plenty of offense to go around.

Dallas will have to make due with Cooper Rush. Rush doesn’t have a lot of offensive weapons. Zeke Elliott and Tony Pollard looked good at times, but Dallas had no passing game to speak of, even when Prescott was in the game. CeeDee Lamb is their most viable pass catcher right now.

Dallas has lost their first game, their starting quarterback, and quite possibly a shot at the playoffs. We’re going to add to their week of losing, by making them one of our sure losers of the week. Cincinnati has a solid defense, and the Cowboys won’t be able to score points. Burrow will overcome his poor play and will put up some huge numbers in Dallas. Dallas loses 28-17 and starts the season, losing two home games in a row.

Carolina Panthers @ New York Giants (-2.5)

Prior to the season, many felt that Panthers head coach Matt Rhule was on the hot seat. After a Week 1 loss to the Cleveland Browns, the Panthers know that they can’t afford to start the season 0-2. If they do, Rhule’s seat could really start to heat up.

Brian Daboll made his head coaching debut, and his Giants overcame a late deficit to defeat the Tennessee Titans. Saquon Barkley had a breakout game, and that could be a preview for the season to come.

Christian McCaffrey didn’t get a ton of action last Sunday, but we think that will change. The Giants know that the Panthers will want to get McCaffrey involved. Baker Mayfield had some good moments last Sunday, but he also had some tough ones as well. We’ll see how he responds to last week’s loss.

The Panthers have lost their last four road games, and they didn’t cover the spread in any of those four losses. We think that the streak moves to five games, as the New York Giants will put Rhule in a bad spot. The Giants win the game by a field goal and cover the spread, making the Carolina Panthers as one of our sure losers in Week 2.
