With Chicago going a dismal 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games and the Over going 7-3-1 in Tennessee’s last 11 home games I like the Titans to win and cover – in addition to the Over playing out! 71 percent of public bettors like the Titans to get it done and so do I!NFL Preseason Pick: Tennessee 27 Chicago 21
A Closer Look at the NFL Preseason Week 3 Must Bet Games
Carolina Panthers (6-10) at Jacksonville Jaguars (3-13)
When: Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 7:30 PM ETWhere: EverBank FieldNFL Preseason Odds: Carolina -1.5 / Total: 43.5Analysis: The Carolina Panthers are 1-1 this scrimmage season and are coming off a 34-27 loss to the Tennessee Titans the last time out while the Jacksonville Jaguars have gone 1-1 in the preseason and are coming off a 12-8 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Carolina starter cam newton may not play in this one because of his injured shoulder, I don’t think it’s going to matter every much with the Panthers’ voracious defense getting after whoever starts under center for the Jaguars. The Jags are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games while Carolina has gone 3-1-1 ATS in their last five road dates. 61 percent of public bettors like the Panthers to win and cover and I’m like…ya’ think?NFL Preseason Pick: Carolina -1.5Football Preseason Week 3 Betting Odds Panthers at Jaguars
New England Patriots (17-2) at Detroit Lions (9-8)
When: Friday, August 25, 2017 at 7:00 PM ETWhere: Ford FieldNFL Preseason Odds: Detroit Lions +1 / Total: 45.5TV: WBZAnalysis: New England is 0-2 this scrimmage season after losing to the Jaguars 31-24 and Texans 27-23 while Detroit has gone 2-0 in the preseason by beating the Colts 24-10 and Jets 16-6. Despite each team’s polar-opposite preseason records, Tom Brady and the superior New England Patriots are the easy pick to get the ‘feel-good’ win and be on their merry way.The Patriots have gone 8-1 ATS in their last nine road games while the Lions are 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall. I’m surprised that ‘just’ 61 percent of public bettors likes New England to get it done, but hey, I say roll with the majority.NFL Preseason Pick: New England -1Indianapolis Colts (8-8) at Pittsburgh Steelers (13-6)
When: Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 7:30 PM ETWhere: Heinz FieldNFL Preseason Odds: Pittsburgh Steelers -5 / Total: 41Analysis: The Indianapolis Colts are a winless 0-2 this scrimmage season and are coming off a 24-19 loss to the Dallas Cowboys the last time out. More importantly, Indy is still without starting quarterback Andrew Luck, although backups Stephen Morris and Scott Tolzien both looked rock-solid in Week 2. Morris completed 11 of 15 passes for 111 yards and one touchdown while Tolzien completed 10 of 14 passes for 70 yards. The Pittsburgh Steelers are an unbeaten 2-0 this preseason and come into their Week 3 matchup off a hard-fought 17-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. Ben Roethlisberger hasn’t played this preseason, but he’ll start this contest. With Luck out and Big Ben in, it’s no wonder that a convincing 66 percent of public bettors likes Pittsburgh to get the job done in this one. Indianapolis is 1-4 ATS in their last five games against their AFC counterparts while Pittsburgh has gone 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games.NFL Preseason Pick: Pittsburgh -5Chicago Bears (3-13) at Tennessee Titans (9-7)
When: Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM ETWhere: Nissan StadiumNFL Preseason Odds: Tennessee Titans -3 / Total: 43.5TV: FOXAnalysis: The Chicago Bears are 1-1 this preseason and coming off a 24-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals the last time out as both, rookie signal-caller Mitchell Trubisky and veteran Mike Glennon, the expected starter, looked good. The Tennessee Titans have gone 1-1 this preseason and are coming off a 34-27 win over the Carolina Panthers in their last contest. Veteran backup Matt Cassel looked solid the last time out by completing eight of 13 passes for 88 yards after starter Marcus Mariota completed six of eight passes and tossed one touchdown.
