NFL 2021 Regular Season Week 2 Odds Analysis & Picks

On Monday, the Las Vegas Raiders beat the Baltimore Ravens in one of the best football games ever played. NFL handicappers barely have time to read the headlines, though, because we must turn our attention to NFL Week 2. Check out current NFL odds on MyBookie, analysis, and predictions for every NFL game this week.

NFL Week 2 Odds Overview & Predictions for Each Game

2021 NFL Week 2

  • When: Thursday, Sep. 16 – Monday, Sep. 20

Thursday, Sep. 16th Match

  • New York Giants / Washington Football Team -4

In Week 1, the Giants struggled big time versus a team with a strong defense and decent, not spectacular, but decent quarterback play. The same set up faces NYG on Thursday. The WFT has one of the best defensive lines in football. Quarterback Tyler Heinicke isn’t spectacular but he doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. WFT covers.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Washington Football Team

Sunday, Sep. 19th Matches

  • New Orleans Saints -3 / Carolina Panthers +3

We may be reading too much into the Saints’ win against the Green Bay Packers. Then again, New Orleans’ defense looks like one of the best units in the NFL. Not only that, but although Marcus Lattimore is out after having thumb surgery, Bradley Roby will start. So even though the Saints could be without eight players who may have to sit out due to COVID protocols, the Panthers should be in some trouble.

NFL Week 2 Pick: New Orleans Saints

  • Houston Texans / Cleveland Browns -11 ½

Cleveland has a chance to run all over the Houston Texans. But although the Texans should lose this game and they should lose big, Tyrod Taylor is a veteran quarterback who knows how to run an offense. The Browns could suffer a let down after leaving it all on the field in the close loss to KC. Take the points.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Houston Texans

  • Buffalo Bills -3 ½ / Miami Dolphins

Buffalo couldn’t break down Pittsburgh’s excellent defense. On Sunday, they face another team with an incredibly strong defense. The Dolphins held Mac Jones and the Patriots to 16 points on the road. Now, we’re asking Josh Allen and the Bills to beat the Fins on the road and to beat them by over 3 points. Miami can win straight up. Take the points if you’re not sure about the moneyline.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Miami Dolphins

  • Las Vegas Raiders / Pittsburgh Steelers -6

On Monday night, the Raiders looked great in a stunning 33-29 overtime victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Pittsburgh upset Buffalo on the road in their first game. The Steelers are a good football team, but they’re giving way too many points in this contest. Las Vegas is the play.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Las Vegas Raiders

  • San Francisco 49ers -3 ½ / Philadelphia Eagles

In week 1, the Niners were up big versus Detroit, but became lackadaisical and almost gave it up in the fourth quarter. Philadelphia rolled the Atlanta Falcons in a massive road victory. Give the Eagles an edge in this because SF cornerback Jason Verrett and running back Raheem Mostert are out. The Eagles’ offense looks like one of the better units in the league. Philadelphia can win this on the moneyline.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Philadelphia Eagles

  • Denver Broncos -6 / Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw 3 TDs and 3 INTs. If Lawrence settles down in this game, he should have some success. But it won’t be enough. More importantly, Denver’s offense should dominate a terrible Jaguars’ defense.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Denver Broncos

  • New England Patriots -5 / New York Jets

Versus the Carolina Panthers, it took a while for the Jets to get things going. Once they did, NYJ made a game of it, falling 19-14. The Jets could win this straight up. So it makes sense to grab the points.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Jets

  • Minnesota Vikings / Arizona Cardinals -4

Arizona dominated a good Tennessee Titans’ squad 38-13. The Vikings fell to the Cincinnati Bengals 27-24 in overtime. AZ should win this, but NFL teams have a tendency to bounce after big victories. Expect Minnesota to find a way to keep this close either by scoring with the Cards or coming up with a defensive strategy to keep Kyler Murray contained. Either way, +4 makes the Vikings the play.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Minnesota Vikings

  • Atlanta Falcons / Tampa Bay Buccaneers -13

We never want to lay 13 points in an NFL game. But, sometimes, it’s the only choice. Atlanta couldn’t hang with the Philadelphia Eagles in a home game in week 1 while the Buccaneers beat a strong Dallas Cowboys team. Tampa should cover this spread because, after the first game at least, the Falcons look like the worst team in the league.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Tennessee Titans / Seattle Seahawks -5 ½

Sure, the Seahawks dominated the Indianapolis Colts on the road. But Indianapolis almost always loses their first game of the season and, let’s be honest, how much of an upgrade is Carson Wentz? In any case, the Titans played with no energy in the first week. Expect a strong Tennessee squad to step onto the field on Sunday. Tennessee winning this SU is a real possibility.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Tennessee Titans

  • Dallas Cowboys / Los Angeles Chargers -2 ½

Cowboys versus Chargers should be an excellent game. The problem Dallas appears to have is, once again, the defense can’t hold up their end. On Sunday, the Boys’ D faces one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. Justin Herbert took apart a Washington Football Team defense. On Sunday, he’ll have an easier time beating Dallas’ defense.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Los Angeles Chargers

  • Kansas City Chiefs -2 ½ / Baltimore Ravens

No doubt, Baltimore is stinging after the Vegas Raiders upset them on Monday night. Quarterback Lamar Jackson knows the loss is his fault. Kansas City came back against Cleveland and garnered an important victory. Last season, Jackson said KC is Baltimore’s kryptonite. Why argue?

NFL Week 2 Pick: Kansas City Chiefs

Monday, Sep. 20th Match

  • Detroit Lions / Green Bay Packers -10 ½

Detroit quarterback Jared Goff played okay in a surprisingly close loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Goff almost rallied the Lions to a fourth quarter tie. Green Bay always blows out Detroit, though. They especially blow them out at Lambeau. But even though Green Bay should play great on Monday night, the Packers had no energy, Aaron Rodgers seemed uninterested, and Green Bay should be doubting themselves after the 3-38 loss to New Orleans. It makes sense to take the points.

NFL Week 2 Pick: Detroit Lions
