NFL Teams That Could Come Out of Nowhere To Win 2017 Super Bowl

While Super Bowl winning teams generally build up to that points with a series of wise drafts, acquisitions and coaching hires, there’s always the possibility that a team could ‘come from out of nowhere’ to bag the Vince Lombardi trophy in early 2017. Thanks to this expert NFL betting lines analysis on the handful of NFL teams that could upset the entire apple cart and come out of nowhere to win Super Bowl 51, you’re going to have a great idea of just which upstart title contenders could pull off the impossible!

NFL Teams That Could Come Out of Nowhere To Win 2017 Super Bowl

NY Jets

The New York Jets (10-6 SU, 8-6-2 ATS) won 10 games in 2015, but still, they’d be ‘coming out of nowhere’ if they somehow managed to win Super Bowl 51. I love head coach Todd Bowles and believe he may be the best defensive coach in all of football today. If the Jets can get some competent play on offense, which they should with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick under center, then they could upset the entire apple cart, though it’s certainly a tall, tall task.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens (5-11 SU, 5-9-2 ATS) fell all the way to 5-11 a year ago as they battled a ton of injuries, including one to starting quarterback Joe Flacco that cost him over half of the regular season. However, head coach John Harbaugh has turned Baltimore into a consistent winner that has been a nearly perennial playoff participant and one that could get back into the playoffs in 2016, even if most experts don’t have them reaching the postseason. Sure, the Ravens don’t look very special right now, but they could potentially come from out of nowhere to win Super Bowl 51.

Houston Texans

The Texans (9-8 SU, 9-8 ATS) have recorded consecutive nine-win seasons under head coach Bill O’Brien and that was without any competent play at the quarterback position. Now with former Broncos backup Brock Osweiler on board, I think it’s quite possible that Houston could build on their 2015 AFC South division title and upset the entire apple cart.

Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons (8-8 SU, 6-10 ATS) finished the 2015 campaign 8-8, but they got off to stellar 5-0 start last season that had everyone believing. Could the Falcons shore up their generous defense while quarterback Matt Ryan turns back the clock? It could happen, though getting past NFC South division rival Carolina is a task unto itself. If the Falcons get into the postseason as a wild card, they could come from nowhere to win it all in 2016!

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys went 4-12 SU and 4-11-1 ATS last season but they could bounce back in a big way if Tony Romo can stay healthy and rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott lives up to his star billing. Dallas plays in a mediocre NFC East division that have picked them to win this coming season. If the ‘Boys get into the playoffs, then they could come from nowhere to win their first Super Bowl title in two decades.

Detroit Lions

Sure, the Lions were just 7-9 SU and ATS last season and don’t have many fans or experts believing they are going to do much in 2016, but I beg to differ after watching Matthew Stafford and company go 7-1 over their last eight games last season while battling to keep head coach Jim Caldwell. Detroit is offensively explosive and could stun the entire league if they ever get around to playing any sort of competent defense!
