Top 2022 NHL Matches to Must Bet: Toronto vs St. Louis Highlights the Weekend

Over the next week or so, we will hit the midway point of the NHL season, but this is really just the calm before the storm. In the second half of the season, we are going to several teams make up games that were postponed due to the pandemic, which will mean that some will have a busier second half than others. We will also see the trade deadline come around, at which point we will get an idea of the teams that are set to take a serious run at the Stanley Cup. It is often the moves made at the deadline that turn a team into a serious contender. Before all of that, though, we have the weekend to look forward to, so let’s take a peek at some of the better games on the NHL Betting weekend schedule.

NHL Betting | Top Must Bet Games From Friday to Sunday

Anaheim Ducks at Minnesota Wild – Friday

It is totally natural for teams to go through hot and cold spells over the course of an 82-game season, and while neither of these teams are currently at their best, they are both vey much in the playoff conversation. The Ducks are in 2nd in the Pacific Division, but they are just 4-4-2 in their last 10 games. The Wild, meanwhile, have seen their lead atop the Central slip away after going on a poor run of form that has dropped them down to 4th. The Wild are 11-3-1 at home, so tough to beat in their own building.

Toronto Maple Leafs at St. Louis Blues – Saturday

One of the great things about the NHL schedule is that good teams don’t have a long time to dwell on a poor performance before moving onto the next game. For the Maple Leafs, this one will be all about washing away the bad taste of a loss to the Arizona Coyotes earlier this week. For the Blues, this one is about keeping their positive momentum going after a 7-2-1 showing in the last 10 games. Both of these teams will almost certainly be in the playoffs this season.

Pittsburgh Penguins at San Jose Sharks – Saturday

With the return of Evgeni Malkin, the Pittsburgh Penguins once again have one of the best offenses in the business. They were going well without him, but now that Malkin is back, how good can this team, who has won 9 of their last 10, actually be? The Sharks are on a positive run of form at the moment, too, going 6-4 in their last 10 games and winning 3 in a row. Both of these teams can score, so expect a lot of goals in this one.

Vancouver Canucks at Washington Capitals – Sunday

There is only one game on the Sunday schedule, which, for that reason alone, makes it one worth betting on. The Canucks are struggling this season and will be looking to get back to .500 on the road after going 8-9-1 to this point in the season. Ordinarily, that would be a tough ask against a very good Washington Capitals team, but they are a little fragile at the moment, as they are currently trying to snap out of a 4-game losing skid.
