Per most NFL analysts, the Pittsburgh Steelers have the most difficult schedule in the NFL. Not only must Pittsburgh take on their AFC North rivals, but the Steelers must also contend with the AFC East, where Buffalo, Miami, and New England play. Pittsburgh must also play the NFC South where Tampa Bay and New Orleans reside. With that being written, there are at least eight Pittsburgh games that could lead to profit. Circle the following eight Steeler games on your NFL Betting calendar.

2022-23 NFL Regular Season
- When: Sep. 8, 2022 – Jan. 8, 2023
Pittsburgh at Cincinnati | Week 1 – Sunday, Sep. 11
The Steelers start the season versus the defending AFC Champions. Pittsburgh will have a very good defense, but Joe Burrow and the Bengals are set to defend their conference title. It’s going to be difficult to beat the Bengals on the road. Keeping it close will also be challenging.
Pittsburgh at Cleveland | Week 2 – Thursday, Sep. 22
Cleveland must play their first six games without starting quarterback Deshaun Watson. Jacoby Brissett is a solid backup. He’ll ensure Cleveland’s offense remains competitive.
But the Browns’ defense won’t be as good as one led by T.J. Ward and Minkah Fitzpatrick. The Steelers will have a chance for an early division road upset win.
Pittsburgh vs Tampa Bay | Week 6 – Sunday, Oct. 16
The Steelers could surprise in this. Tampa is very good versus the rush, but not good against the pass. The Steelers can score.
Pittsburgh will have the better defense in this game. So don’t be surprised when Mike Tomlin comes up with the perfect strategy to keep Tom Brady and the Buccaneers‘ offense at bay. The Steelers could pull off a sweet home SU upset victory.
Pittsburgh vs New Orleans | Week 10 – Sunday, Nov. 13
This matchup will showcase two of the best defenses in the league. So the key will be which quarterback, Trubisky or Pickett for the Steelers or Jameis Winston for the Saints, can get it done.
Winston should outplay either of the Steelers’ signal-callers. New Orleans escapes Pittsburgh with a close win.
Pittsburgh at Atlanta | Week 13 – Sunday, Dec. 4
The Steelers will shine versus an Atlanta team that doesn’t have as talented of a roster. It won’t matter who the ATL starts at quarterback.
Neither veteran Marcus Mariota nor rookie Desmond Ridder will have success versus Ward, Fitzpatrick, and the rest of the Steelers’ D. Atlanta will struggle to the move football. So if Najee Harris, Pittsburgh’s top running back, can get it going, this could be a blowout Steelers’ win.
Pittsburgh at Carolina | Week 15 – Sunday, Dec. 4
Steelers versus Panthers should be an interesting game. But Mike Tomlin knows Baker Mayfield’s tendencies. So if Baker is under center, the Steelers should prevail with a win and cover.
If Matt Ruhle starts Sam Darnold, forget it. Steelers force 3 picks and blow out the Panthers.
Pittsburgh at Baltimore | Week 17 – Sunday, Jan. 1
If things work out for the Steelers, the final two regular season games should be crucial. Pittsburgh won’t beat Cincinnati for the AFC North title.
But Pittsburgh could play well enough to challenge Baltimore and Cleveland for a wildcard. Beating the Ravens will be tough. But right now, before the first NFL preseason game, Pittsburgh feels like the more solid franchise. If the Steelers are in playoff contention, Tomlin will find a way for the road upset win.
Pittsburgh vs Cleveland | Week 18 – Sunday, Jan. 8
Everyone expects Deshaun Watson to come back after a season and a half and perform like he did when DeAndre Hopkins was his top wide receiver.
That may not happen. But even if it does, Pittsburgh takes on Cleveland at home. There’s no way a Mike Tomlin coached squad falls to the Browns at home in what should be an important game with playoff implications.
