When: 7:30 PM ETWhere: M&T Bank StadiumThe Carolina Panthers went 3-1 last preseason en route to an appearance in Super Bowl 50 while Baltimore struggled to a 1-3 mark in the preseason in what would eventually become an injury-ravaged five-win regular season. Still, the Ravens are the pick for me to hold it down at home against a Panthers team I just can’t see going all out to get the win. Matt Schaub leads Baltimore to the SU win and ATS cover as a 1.5-point home dog!

My Pick: Baltimore 27 Carolina 21

Denver at Chicago -1

When: 8:00 PM ETWhere: Soldier Field, Chicago, ILThe Bears might be playing at home in this preseason opener, but I like the Denver Broncos to get the outright road win because of their elite defensive scheme and the fact that I expect the Broncos backup quarterbacks, Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch to outplay Chicago’s David Fales and whoever the third stringer is.

When: 8:00 PM ETWhere: Nissan Stadium, NashvilleThe young Tennessee Titans are my pick to get the outright win and narrow ATS cover behind Marcus Mariota, Matt Cassel and Zach Mettenberger while San Diego struggles behind Kellen Clemens once Philip Rivers departs following what I believe will be one series of play or two at most.
