Why Tennessee is a good bet versus Buffalo

The Titans fell to the Giants in week 1, but Tennessee didn’t play bad on defense. The Titans allowed just 156 passing yards and 21 points. 

2 of the 21 points came on a 2-point conversion on the final play of the game. Also, Titans running back Derrick Henry rushed for just 82 yards. He should have a much better game on Monday night.  

Why Buffalo is a good bet versus Tennessee

The Bills ransacked Los Angeles in an impressive 31-10 blistering of the Rams in NFL Week 1. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen threw for 3 touchdowns and ran for another.

The Bills’ defense locked down on the Rams offense. There’s no reason to believe Buffalo won’t do the same to the Titans offense.

At first glance, it looks as if 10 points is a lot. But after a deeper dive, it’s apparent the Bills should dominate Tennessee.

Even though Tennessee stopped the Giants passing attack, the rushing attack went for 238 yards. Josh Allen, along with Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson, is the best rushing quarterback in the NFL. He will dominate as much on the ground as he does through the air. Allen and the Bills cover.

Why Minnesota is a good bet versus Philadelphia

In their first game, the Vikings pulled off one of NFL Week 1’s top upset wins. Minnesota hosted rival Green Bay and beat the Packers 23-7.

The Vikings offense was brilliant. Kirk Cousins threw for 277 yards and a pair of TDs, both to Justin Jefferson. Minnesota’s top wideout was unstoppable. Jefferson caught 9 targets for 184 yards and the pair of TDs. 

Why Philadelphia is a good bet versus Minnesota

Philadelphia faced a decent Detroit Lions squad on the road and managed to rally for an overtime win. The Eagles used the ground game to both get back into the contest and then put a fork into the Lions.

Philly rushed for 211 yards. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia’s quarterback, threw for 243 yards. It was a fantastic performance by the offense.

This game happens in Philadelphia, which is the reason the Eagles are the slight favorites. But although Philadelphia has a good rushing attack, the defense looked terrible versus the Lions.

The problem Philly’s D will have in this game is stopping Cousins, Jefferson, and Minnesota running back Dalvin Cook. Minnesota head coach Kevin O’Connell is one of the top two most creative play-callers in the NFL, Brian Daboll with the Giants being the other.

O’Connell will create a strategy that exploits the Eagles’ defensive deficiencies. Minnesota wins straight up.
