Expect A Fight In Bengals-Steelers

No two teams in the NFL right now hate each other more than the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers, and there are going to be plenty of scuffles in Week 2 when the teams square off in the Steelers’ home opener. They opened as 3.5-point favorites on NFL lines. Emotions ran really high when Pittsburgh won last year’s wild-card game 18-16 in Cincinnati. Chris Boswell kicked a 35-yard field goal with 14 seconds remaining to win. Pittsburgh moved into field goal position thanks to consecutive 15-yard penalties on the Bengals, one on linebacker Vontaze Burfict and another on cornerback Adam Jones. Burfict dropped his shoulder and hit a defenseless Antonio Brown in the helmet as the All-Pro receiver came across the middle, and Jones lost his cool after getting into it with Steelers assistant coach Joey Porter when Porter came onto the field as Brown was being tended to by trainers.

Saints-Giants Will Be Highest-Scoring Game

If you like offense, and who doesn’t, you will want to tune into the New Orleans at New York Giants game. The G-Men are 4.5-point favorites on NFL odds and the total of 52.5 is the highest for the week. If this game is anything like last year’s, that total will surpassed by halftime. The Saints beat the visiting Giants 52-49 in Week 8 last year. The 101 points tied for third most in an NFL game. Both offenses combined for 1,030 yards. Drew Brees passed for 505 yards and an NFL record-tying seven touchdowns, and Kai Forbath kicked a 50-yard field goal as time ran out. New York’s Eli Manning connected on a career-high six touchdown passes, three to fellow New Orleans native Odell Beckham Jr. The 13 combined TD passes were an NFL record.That Saints defense clearly still stinks as evidenced by their 35-34 home loss to Oakland in Week 1. The Raiders pulled within a point with 47 seconds left and then Coach Jack Del Rio went for 2, a huge rarity in the NFL with the game on the line. The Raiders converted. Brees was great, throwing for 423 yards and four touchdowns. It marked Brees’ 14th career 400-yard passing game, tying Peyton Manning for the most in NFL history. Brees threw a 98-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Cooks, the fifth touchdown pass of at least 98 yards on Kickoff Weekend in NFL history.New York opened with a 20-19 win in Dallas. Eli Manning threw for three touchdowns, including the go-ahead score to Victor Cruz in his first game in nearly two years. Cruz, who missed most of 2014 with a knee injury and all of last season with a bad calf, broke free in the end zone for a 3-yard TD with 6 minutes remaining. New York beat Dallas in an opener for the first time in nine tries.Brown was forced to miss the Steelers’ next playoff game vs. Denver and I believe the Steelers would have won it with him. The Steelers are still livid over that hit. But there won’t be any chance to get back at Burfict as he’s suspended the first three game of the season because of it. Last year, the Bengals won their trip to Pittsburgh 16-10 in Week 8. The Steelers lost star running back Le’Veon Bell to a season-ending injury in that one and he’s out suspended the first three games of this season as well. I like the Steelers on NFL odds here.
