Why Bet the Saints NFL Week 4 Odds at -1.5?

After losing to Minnesota 29-19 in their regular season opener and getting smacked around by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in their 36-20 Week 2 loss, the New Orleans Saints (1-2 SU, 1-2 ATS, 3-0 O/U) rolled all over Carolina in their 34-13 Week 3 win as Drew Brees completed 22-of-29 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns while rookie running back Alvin Kamara ran twice for 37 yards and another score. The Saints also picked off Carolina quarterback Cam Newton three times in the win while Brees connected with wide receivers, Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn and Brandon Coleman on his touchdown tosses. “We’re completely focused,” Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan said this week of playing in London. “Our tourism part is over.” The Saints are ranked 11th in scoring (24.3 ppg), but an uninspiring 26th in points allowed (30.0 ppg).

Why Bet the Dolphins NFL Week 4 Odds at +1.5?

The Dolphins (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS, 0-2 O/U) had their opener against Tampa Bay postponed because of Hurricane Irma, but managed to get past the Chargers 19-17 in Week 2. Unfortunately, the Fins looked completely unprepared in their shocking 20-6 loss against the rebuilding New York Jets as quarterback Jay Cutler stunk up the place by completing just 26 of 44 passes for 220 yards with one touchdown and one interception. While Cutler’s final stats don’t look that bad, you should know that he had just 75 passing yards after three-quarters as Miami got shut out until the final stanza. Jarvis Landry is not happy with the Dolphins odds for NFL Week 4. “That last game was a disaster,” Dolphins coach Adam Gase said. “That’s obvious, and it’s embarrassing.” Talented running back Jay Ajayi got held to just 16 yards on 11 carries and Miami’s defense allowed Jets veteran signal-caller Josh McCown completed 18 of 23 passes for 249 yards and one score in the loss. Miami lost the time of possession battle by 13 minutes and Cutler got sacked three times in the loss. The Dolphins are ranked a pitiful 30th in scoring (12.5 ppg) but impressive sixth in points allowed (18.5 ppg).

Expert Analysis and Prediction

I’ve already gone on record to say that, I just can’t bring myself to back any Cutler-led team over one that is led by future Hall of Fame signal-caller in Drew Brees. Despite the Saints’ slow start, the 39-year-old Brees is still playing at a high level by completing a blistering 68.5 percent of his passes for 867 yards with six touchdowns with zero interceptions on the season. New Orleans has won two straight over Miami in this little-played series and four of the last six meetings overall and despite their struggles getting out of the gate this season, the Saints should easily be able to outscore the offensively-inept Dolphins in this one. The Saints are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games in the month of October and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following an SU win while Miami has gone 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games following an ATS loss and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous contest. I’m thinking the Saints are a no-brainer of a pick in this matchup and apparently, 64 percent of the betting public already agrees! Expert Pick: New Orleans -1.5
