NFL 2021 Season Week 6 SU Betting Picks & Analysis

NFL 2021 Season Week 6 SU Betting Picks & Analysis

Even with 5 weeks of the NFL season in the books, it is still to early to be overreacting to specific teams. It is easy to get carried away with a great start, or feel panic set in with a slow start, but history has shown that the good teams have a way of finally getting to where we expect them to be. Look at the sports headlines today and you will see all kinds of stories discussing what is wrong with the Kansas City Chiefs. They are last in their division after going 2-3 to start the season, but it is hard to believe that they will still be there a month from now. At the other end, the Arizona Cardinals are 5-0, but they will almost certainly not go unbeaten. As we head into Week 6, it’s time to make our SU picks so you can continue making your bets against the NFL odds. We hit a 3-team parlay last week, so let’s hope for more of the same.

NFL Betting | Straight-Up Picks for Week 6 of the 2021 Season

Indianapolis Colts over Houston Texans

Every year, we have a division that is super competitive and one where it seems as though none of the teams want to win. In the latter category, it looks like the AFC South might be the winner. The Titans are on top with a 3-2 record, while the other 3 teams struggle to find wins. The Colts looked like they were going to pick up their second win of the season on Monday night before gassing a 19-point lead against the Baltimore Ravens. They are back home this weekend and have what looks to be a more manageable game versus the Houston Texans. Houston is just 1-9 SU in their last 10 games overall and have just 1 road win in their last 6.

Kansas City Chiefs over Washington Football Team

As we mentioned at the top of this piece, there are some genuine concerns about the state of the Kansas City Chiefs after starting the season at 2-3. The general consensus that their reliance on Patrick Mahomes to deliver the magic and bail them out has finally caught up to them. The issues probably run a little deeper than that, but this does look like a team that is too good to continue struggling. They will head to the nation’s capital this weekend hoping to get back on track against the Washington Commanders. The Chiefs have gone 11-2 SU in their last 13 road games, so I think it’s more than possible that they make a big statement on Sunday.

Las Vegas Raiders over Denver Broncos

I always like to try and throw an underdog in with my picks, but I do recognize that this might be a bit of an iffy selection. The fact of the matter is that it’s impossible to know how the Raiders players will react after the controversy surrounding Jon Gruden in the midst of his resignation. Will they step up and deliver a big performance that snaps a 2-game losing skid, or will the stink of the situation stick to them just a bit? Well, they have won 4 of the last 5 meetings with the Denver Broncos, while the home team is just 1-4 SU in their last 5 games at Mile High. I’m taking a bit of a risk here, but I’m going with Las Vegas.
