Expert Super Bowl 52 Betting Prediction on Final Score.

Who To Bet On To Win The Pro-Bowl

Written by on January 25, 2017

In recent years, the NFL Pro Bowl game has taken on a different format, with celebrity coaches drafting their players regardless of conference. This was done in an attempt to add a little bit of interest to a game that has become much maligned and in danger of being scrapped altogether. The Pro Bowl is alive and well, and will return to its traditional AFC versus NFC format this coming Sunday, January 29 at 8 PM EST at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The rosters have been set for a while now, but as is often the case in the week leading up to the game, we are going to have players pulling out, with most of those players likely to be the ones that lost in the conference championship games last weekend. It’s always a tricky wager when playing the Pro Bowl, as you never really know what you are going to get. Sloppy play is common, and, not surprisingly, the scores tend to go on the high side. That trend changed a little in the last three Pro Bowl games, but it’s worth considering if you plan on playing the OVER/UNDER. Let’s take a look at both squads, and make a few NFL betting predictions in the process.

Who To Bet On To Win The Pro-Bowl

Why bet on the AFC to win the Pro Bowl

The AFC has lost all 3 QB’s voted in, as Tom Brady, Derek Carr, and Ben Roethlisberger have all been forced to withdraw. That leaves Andy Dalton, Alex Smith, and Philip Rivers as the replacements, which you have to say is a bit of a downgrade. Replacements are a bit of a trend on the AFC team, as their receivers and running backs have all been switched about to create what is essentially a totally diferent team from what was voted in by the fans. The AFC still has enough quality on there to compete, especially in a game where contact is taken out of the equation. The number of start players missing from this roster would make me a little nervous about betting on the AFC.

Why bet on the NFC to win the Pro Bowl

By comparison, the NFC roster has remained mostly intact. The biggest changes have come at the QB spot with Brees replacing Matt Ryan, and Kirk Cousins filling in for Aaron Rodgers. Rookie phenom Dak Prescott is the 3rd QB on the NFC roster, which you have to say is stacked at that position. The game changer in this squad, though, has to be RB Ezekiel Elliott. I imagine that we are going to see a healthy dose of the rookie running the ball, and with contact minimal, he could do some serious damage that may well lead to him being named the MVP of the game.

Pro Bowl Prediction

I’m not going to predict a final score for this one, simply because the outcome of these games tends to be wildly unpredictable. What I will say is that I believe the NFC will win going away, and that the point total will go OVER.
