NFL Wild Card Betting Picks and Odds for the 2023 Postseason Games

NFL Wild Card Betting Picks and Odds for the 2023 Postseason Games

14 teams now have a shot at winning the NFL’s grandest prize, the Vince Lombardi Trophy. This coming weekend, we’ll see the field reduced from 14 to eight, as we’ll have the Wild Card round. Unlike years past, the only playoff team with a bye is the top seed in each conference, which this year is Philadelphia in the NFC and Kansas City in the AFC. Everyone else will be playing on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.

In looking at the first wave of playoff games, we’ve found three games that we think we have a good handle on. We’ll give you our best NFL Playoffs Betting advice for the upcoming round of games.

What are the Best Bets for the Wild Card Round in the NFL Playoffs?

Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5) @ Jacksonville Jaguars – Saturday Night

The Los Angeles Chargers are playing their best football of the season. They finally have all of their offensive weapons healthy, although Mike Williams left Sunday’s game. However, it is being reported that he’ll be ready to go. The Chargers defense has also improved throughout the season. This is a team that no one wants to see in the postseason.

As for the Jaguars, they had to beat Tennessee on Saturday night to make the playoffs and win the AFC South. They struggled, but they did it, and now here they are. This team has come on strong late in the season, and they do own a victory over the Chargers this season.

We just think the Jags aren’t quite there yet, and with the Chargers having the momentum heading into the postseason, we think they win by a field goal and cover the spread.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals (-6.5) – Sunday Night

The biggest question mark in these playoffs is whether or not Lamar Jackson will be ready for this one. We haven’t seen Jackson in weeks, and we haven’t heard much about his injury. Tyler Huntley also missed the Week 18 matchup between these same two teams. Even if Jackson plays, how healthy will he be, and will he be rusty?

The Bengals are arguably playing the best football in the AFC. Their offense is rolling, Joe Burrow looks like one of the top three quarterbacks in the league, the offensive line has improved, and the defense is playing great.

We just think that the Bengals are the better team here, and they have something to prove. They win this one by 10 and move on to the next round of the AFC Playoffs.

Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers (-10) – Saturday Afternoon

Seattle needed to win, which they did, and they also needed help from the Detroit Lions, which they got. Their prize for getting into the playoffs is a matchup with their division rivals, the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners have beaten the Seahawks by scores of 27-7 and 21-13 this season. The Niners are now healthy, they have Christian McCaffrey ready to go, and the defense has only allowed more than 20 points once in the last 10 games.

While we still have some questions about how Brock Purdy will handle the pressure of the playoffs, we don’t think it will be an issue on Saturday. The Niners roll the Seahawks, winning the game by at least two touchdowns.
