NFL 2021-22 Wild Card Round Betting Odds & Analysis

Now that the first 17-game regular season is in the books, it’s time to look forward to the NFL playoffs. We now know who all 14 playoff teams are, and we know their first-round matchups. Let’s take a look at each of the games and their early NFL Playoffs odds.

Early Updated Odds for Monday Wild Card Games

NFC Wild Card Round

  • (7) Philadelphia Eagles @ (2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-7)

The Eagles surprised many this season, as they weren’t expected to make the playoffs this season. First year head coach Nick Sirianni has gotten the most out of his Eagles squad. The mobility of quarterback Jalen Hurts could give the Bucs defense a lot of issues.

Tom Brady continues to win his battle with Father Time. The 44-year old had another stellar season. He won’t have as many offensive weapons as he did last season, but Brady is used to that. Tampa’s defense is great at stopping the run, and they know what it takes to win a Super Bowl.

  • (6)San Francisco 49ers @ (3) Dallas Cowboys (-3)

Although it was many years ago, these two were the NFC teams of the ‘90s and they battled many times in the playoffs. This old rivalry will be renewed next weekend, as they will meet in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.

San Francisco qualified for the playoffs by way of their come-from-behind victory over the Rams on Sunday. The Dallas Cowboys finished 12-5 and won the NFC East. Dallas has a dynamic offense, and their defense played much better than expected this season.

  • (5) Arizona Cardinals @ (4) Los Angeles Rams (-4)

These two will meet at the site of this year’s Super Bowl. The Rams won the NFC West this season but ended their season on a sour note as the Niners came from behind to beat them. The Rams defense will need to play better if they hope to continue on in the playoffs.

Arizona had the best record in the league for much of the season but ended the season with some tough losses, including one to Seattle on Sunday that cost them the division title. Arizona’s offense is scary, but they’ll need to play better defense as well.

AFC Wild Card Round

  • (7) Pittsburgh Steelers @ (2) Kansas City Chiefs (-13)

After beating the Ravens in the afternoon, and by way of the Raiders overtime victory over the Chargers, the Pittsburgh Steelers snuck into the playoffs. With an aging Ben Roethlisberger leading their offense, points have been hard to come by for the Steelers. However, their defense has been keeping them in and helping them win the close ones.

As for the Chiefs, we all know that they can score points. It’s going to come down to whether or not their defense plays like they did last postseason, or how they played to start this season.

  • (6) New England Patriots @ (3) Buffalo Bills (-4)

These two AFC East rivals are no strangers. This will be the rubber game in the series. We’ll see if Bill Belichick has some tricks up his sleeve for the Buffalo Bills.

Josh Allen is one of the most dynamic players in the league. He led the Bills to the AFC title game last season, and now he wants to make it to the next stage. He has the team to get him there.

  • (5) Las Vegas Raiders @ (4) Cincinnati Bengals (-6)

A last-second overtime field goal earned the Raiders the #6 seed, and their reward, a trip to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals. Las Vegas has overcome a lot of issues this season to get to the playoffs.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals have one of the best offenses in the league. They’ve been on a hot streak. We’ll see if the Raiders defense has enough to slow them down.
