Early NHL 2022-23 Conference Championships Odds and Stanley Cup Betting Favorites

We are not even a month away from the Colorado Avalanche hoisting the Stanley Cup, and we have more odds for you for the upcoming season. Will the Avalanche win back-to-back and create their dynasty? Will a new team that has not won a Stanley Cup in a very long time win it all?

Let’s take a look at some of the best odds to win the Stanley Cup and the best Odds to Win the Conference Championship

Odds to Win the Stanley Cup and the Eastern and Western Conference Championships | NHL Betting Analysis

Colorado Avalanche

For the third time in franchise history, the Colorado Avalanche won the Stanley Cup. The building blocks throughout the last few years were finally in the right spot to have a dominant run to the Stanley Cup in 2022. The Avalanche put the rest of the league on notice because they are here to stay for a long while.

While Nathan MacKinnon may be the face of the franchise, the win this last year involved so much more than just MacKinnon. Mikko Rantanen was great all regular season, Nazem Kadri was great for the Avalanche, and Cale Makar is on the rise among defensemen.

The Avalanche have already been active in the offseason and brought in a new goaltender, Alexander Georgiev, on a three-year contract. This is a bold move after Darcy Kuemper was a leading factor in the success of the Avalanche.

Colorado has the best odds to win the Stanley Cup this next season at +400. To win the conference championship, they are +170 favorites.

Toronto Maple Leafs

After failing to get out of the first round yet again, the Toronto Maple Leafs will need to regroup in the 2022-23 season. After blowing a 3-1 lead to the Tampa Bay Lightning, Maple Leafs fans were sent home disappointed again. Auston Matthews needs help to finally bring the Stanley Cup back to Toronto.

Matthews led the team in points and goals for Toronto this season. After scoring 60 goals, Matthews was named the Hart Memorial Trophy winner, the NHL’s MVP. Mitchell Marner provided help for Matthews this season, contributing 97 points with 35 goals and 62 assists.

All it takes is one series to get past the first round for the Maple Leafs to finally get over the hump. 1967 was the last time the Maple Leafs won a Stanley Cup.

To win the Stanley Cup, the Maple Leafs have the second-best odds at +850. To win the Eastern Conference Championship, Toronto is the favorite at +450, tied with the Florida Panthers.

Florida Panthers

The 2022 President’s Trophy winners are hungry for another run at winning a Stanley Cup. The Panthers lost in the second round to the Tampa Bay Lightning and were swept by the Lightning. Florida will need a big offseason to compete yet again this season.

They are tied with the Maple Leafs for the odds at +850 to win the Stanley Cup and +450 to win the Eastern Conference.

Edmonton Oilers

We don’t see another Western Conference team until the Edmonton Oilers at +1600 to win the Stanley Cup. The Oilers had a big offensive year in 2022, but they failed on the defensive end against the Avalanche in the conference finals.

Connor McDavid will once again be ready to lead his team to another postseason run in 2023. They have +600 odds to win the Western Conference.
