  • Brazil +450
  • England +550
  • France +550
  • Spain +800
  • Argentina +900
  • Germany +1100

Is Brazil a legit favorite to win the World Cup?

Few teams are as talented as Brazil. Overall, the Brazilians might have the most talent at every level.

The forwards, led by Richarlisson and Neymar are as solid as it gets. The midfield, led by Fabinho and Fred, should control every World Cup match, and the backers, led by Dani Alves and Thiago Silva, will shut down most attacks.

Everton and Allisson, perhaps the two best goalies in the English Premier League, both play for Brazil. So if you like the Brazilians, accept the +450 with glee.

Which team between England and France looks best to win this year’s WC?

Everyone keeps waiting for the English to step it up in a World Cup. Unfortunately this season, other teams look better.

One of those teams is France. Kylian Mbappe recently resigned with Paris Saint-Germain. Now that Mbappe is happy, and so are PSG fans, there’s nothing standing in the way of France winning the World Cup.

So of the two teams, France is the much better option. It’s impossible to stop Mbappe or Benzema, the midfield is tremendous, and the backers are great.

What nation is the better play? Spain or Argentina?

This is tough because both Spain and Argentina are good enough to win the World Cup. Let’s start with Argentina where Lionel Messi, no doubt, will hand over the reins to Lautaro Martinez.

The current Inter Milan #10 is a fantastic player. So Argentina can win the World Cup. But the Argentinians don’t offer overlay odds.

Spain might. El Rojo has quietly become one of the best teams in Europe. The squad developed starting summer 2021. By the time the World Cup rolls around, Spain should be on par with England and France as one of the second choice favorites to win the WC.

The key for Spain is Mikel Oyarzabal’s development. The 25-year-old Real Sociedad striker has gotten better and better.

Goalie David de Gea is as solid as it gets. El Rojo’s development machine will produce at least two under 25 stars during the World Cup. That’s how much young talent is on this team, which is why of the two, Spain is the better play.

Does Germany offer overlay odds to win the Qatar World Cup?

If it’s a World Cup, the Germans have a shot. Germany always a shot. But to call the Germans an overlay at +1100 is pushing it.

Belgium is at +1200 and on paper, the Belgians have the better team. Germany’s issue  is one of age. Goalie Manuel Neuer is 36. Thomas Mueller is 32.

Germany relies way too much on both players. So although the Germans have a solid club, and, yes, they could win the World Cup, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France, and even the self-imploding English are better plays.
