Betting MLS this Weekend: Analysis and Odds on 3 Great Games

MLS comes back after a short pause. We’ve seen the US men’s soccer team having a clash with Mexico, but since that is gone, MLS can return to its regular activities.

Stick around because the upcoming article might be helpful in your MLS betting quest this weekend.

Betting MLS this Weekend: Analysis and Odds on 3 Great Games

Nashville SC vs. LAFC

MLS Odds: Nashville SC -0.5 -112 | Nashville SC -110, LAFC +300, Draw +250 | O/U 2.5
When: Saturday, April 22, 10:30 pm ET
Where: Geodis Park, Nashville, Tennessee
TV / Streaming: ESPN+

The hosts need to bounce back and find their form from the start of the year. SC has only one win over the previous five contests and back-to-back disappointments at their Geodis Park, a 0-1 loss to FC Cincinnati and a goalless tie against Toronto FC.

FC is on fire, with the reigning MLS champions winning the previous four contests, and five of the recent six. Their only loss since the campaign began was against Alajunense in the CONCACAF Champions League, in a game that didn’t matter.

Given the fact that FC scored at least three times in each of its victories, many think the guests have excellent chances of winning this event. Nashville isn’t that confident lately, which is a perfect situation for the black-and-gold to extend their positive streak.

LA Galaxy vs. Austin FC

MLS Odds: LA Galaxy -0.5 -124 | LA Galaxy -119, Austin FC +295, Draw +295 | O/U 2.5
When: Saturday, April 22, 10:30 pm ET
Where: Dignity Health Sports Park, Carson, California
TV / Streaming: ESPN+

The most interesting battle of the weekend, according to the pundits. Both teams are in terrible shape, yet they have high ambitions from this season, which puts them in a tough place, withstanding pressure from all sides.

LA didn’t win since the season started, posting four losses and three ties and allowing eight goals in the past three events, which all ended over 2.5 scores. Austin posted subsequent stalemates and defeats over the recent four contests, allowing five goals combined in two road events.

Both teams have pretty weak defenses, which should result in at least one goal scored by each unit. The winning imperative could force the respective head coaches, Vanney and Wolff, to be even more aggressive.

FC Cinncinati vs. Portland Timbers

MLS Odds: FC Cinncinati -0.5 -177 | FC Cinncinati +460, Portland Timbers -170, Draw +320 | O/U 2.5
When: Saturday, April 22, 7:30 pm ET
Where: TQL Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio
TV / Streaming: ESPN+

The hosts are in solid form, occupying the second spot in the East, having lost only one game this year, the most recent in St. Louis, 5-1. It was a collapse FC won’t be repeating in the near future. This team plays tough and inefficient football and already has five clean sheets this year.

Portland is currently experiencing one of the worst periods in the last several year, but is still in playoff contention. The Timbers finally snapped a six-game winless streak, beating the Seattle Sounders, 4-1. The team looks vulnerable in pretty much all the lines, and the head coach, Giovanni Savarese, needs to make radical changes.

The guests aren’t confident on the road at all, having one tie and four losses so far, and FC should utilize this convenience. In four events at TQL, Cincinnati won in each, allowing just one goal, with three triumphs coming by the same result, 1-0.
